Christian, that knife is great looking! Seems to be a great scout knife. Which tools are built there (I don´t know how to explain it in english :( )

Kind regards
Andi

Thanks Andi. I searched for this knife a long time. I was never that interested in scout knives until Carl introduced me to them. Reading about Mr. Van made me want one of my own.

Thank you for that pic! What a great knife... nice bone and useful tools... especially the awl, blade (and the bottle-opener ;) ) I believe you´ve searched for it a long time. The only scout knife I have is made by F. Hartkopf, Solingen with wooden scales, I use it as an EDC some times. But it´s not that beauty like yours :)

Kind regards
Andi

Not as pretty as Christian's, but carrying my de-bailed Ulster Camper today.

As a back up in my PDA/glasses case, I'm carrying my new modified Opinel #10. I like the spear point on the Ulster. Like it a lot. Sometimes bigger is better. About the same size as a Buck 110.

I carried a GEC Conductor today, but this Half Congress was waiting in the mailbox when I got home (:D), so that's what traditional knife I'll be toting' tomorrow! ;)

Thanks Kevin! It's always fun to get a new knife of course, but for some reason I've been especially looking forward to this one ..... it didn't disappoint. :)

What kind of knife is this? I want one.

yesterday after work, i decided to try a different knife.I LOVE the old timer sitflyer sent me, but I'm in mississippi, its late spring and its getting hot AND i am sweating like a pig while workingthe result, constant rust. So, i am taking a page from the words of others i've seen on this site for the last few years and picked up a new edc/work knife.i expect this baby will work for me for years to come

Case medium Texas Jack in CV steel and a Le Garonnais (brand) Le Sabot (model) in 12c27 steel with ebony handle. A cheap french pocket knife, bit heavy, the grind was a bit off from what I wanted but a few hours with a dimond stone and 400, 600, 1200 paper and a strop it is nicely convexed.

Here is a lovely youtube review of that knife
