What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today an old Schrade Old Timer 84OT Stockman was with me... Great little knife from a great guy at BF (thank you rwc53) :)

Absolutely beautiful!!!
I'm grinning from ear to ear seeing that. Please keep us posted, I'm anxious to see how deeply you fall in love with it.

Sweet! I've got mine in my pocket today. I know you're going to like that little fellow.

Ed J

Thanks, guys! I wasn't kidding about getting a little swoony when I saw the pictures of yours, and was thrilled to find one available. I hold both of you directly responsible (note, this is a good thing).

At first, I was disappointed that mine isn't as golden as Ed J's, but the longer its with me the more I appreciate its understated appearance. I'd also seen Mack's (and loved it), and once I realized it also was "amber" I knew better what might be heading my way. What a beauty. Besides, this won't be my last Case amber bone knife; I have a feeling. ;)

The pile side has a touch more color, but not so much that it doesn't go well with front (which may not be evident from my pictures):

Once again, I was surprised by a knife's actual size. What a sexy little thing!

(One funny fact: this was the first knife I've received that was magnetized; under a magnifying glass after sharpening the edges look like one of those Mr. Mustache magnet/filing toys.)

And yes, I'm carrying it today. :)

I can't imagine what would be going through a guy's head if he picked one up and didn't find a need for it. Sexy is a perfect description.
Mine was touched up on the paper wheels last night and is right back in my pocket where it belongs.

Stuffed this one in my pocket as soon as I opened the package it came in...

got a little inspiration and took it out to the shop tonight...I think now;) that this one might see a little favoritism in the upcoming EDC rotation :D:D:D

thar be diamond dust on that drum...

Hah! I though my eyes were playing tricks on me! Great job on the grind, it looks like it came that way from the factory. I prefer the spearpoint shape over the original for its piercing ability.

Thank you johnny1950 GEC really nailed it with this knife, it's my only Gec it's serial #04 from 2008 and there is not a flaw on it. The picture is from my fishing hole, if you are interested page 2 of the Trad of the month: Peanut thread has a couple of pictures from that spot. The case Peanut is also flawless. I got lucky with these two online purchases.

Well, back to the 2011 BF EO Jack as my traditional carry. Which is a fine change because it's a great knife, but it's under less than good conditions... My SBJ in CV steel recently decided to slip out of my pocket in a customer's car, which I didn't notice for quite some time. I was hoping they'd be a good samaritan about it, and come to the store to return it, but no such luck :(
