y Watch pocket Knife is a super-slender Colonial jack (thanks, Mark):

Yes, that's a beauty.

Those are some beautiful Winterbottems my friend!

That’s a nice looking blind Stuart! Even if the hunt bore no results, I know it was still a great time for you! :D

Thanks, Ron, and you are right. It was a blast without even a shot fired. Would love to get you in the blind some time for a sit and chat.

Unfortunately, it's most likely verdigris.

(verdigris: a green or bluish deposit especially of copper carbonates formed on copper, brass, or bronze surfaces)

That was my first thought, but it's not like any ive seen. And it's in the stag itself, quite a ways from the pins. Doesn't appear like it started there and bled outwards either. I though maybe it was dye from New work pants, but the pockets are white, undyed cotton. *shrug*

If it's clothing dye? You can use a drop of hydrogen peroxide on a Q-Tip to test/remove the dye.

I just blew up your picture and it really doesn't look like verdigris to me?

It should buff/polish out?

Good Luck!

It might would. Honestly, not too worried about it. Just curious more than anything as to what it could be.

GEC #78 in Black Micarta
This is probably my most pocketable "large" knife. It fits well in the watch pocket and isn't obtrusive. I think the round bolsters help a lot with that. Also, it is very easy for me to open with my arthritic fingers. While the half stop position is solid, it's not hard to overcome like many GECs. A very nice knife all-around and one that I'm sure will get a lot of pocket time. I think my #14 is going to get a little jealous...
