What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Ah Travman, New Year and you pulled out your new Elephant Toe - going to get a start on using it to match the other? OH
That Ironwood 46 is getting babied for now. One user 46 is enough for now. I like carrying them, but even I don’t want to do it everyday.

Here is a pile side shot of my Buffalo Bone 85 from the latest run of these.

The recent 99 in Elk was my first stainless GEC, but I wasn’t really into it. The blade isn’t as useful for me as I’d thought it would be.

I got this one off of the exchange and it’s the stainless knife I’d been hoping for. I really hope they produce more stainless patterns soon.

Thanks Dylan and Dave, Dylan, what a great pair with fantastic smooth covers. I'm fortunate to own Lyle's Lick Creek as well and I too feel very lucky:thumbsup:

Dave, the different blade options had me stumped for a while, but very happy with the drop point:thumbsup:

Thank you, Paul. I pulled the trigger on one those Bolus knives today. I opted to stick with Rams Horn and the drop point. I am very much looking forward to seeing what Mike surprises me with. The Ebony is very tempting though, I may have to get a second one if I like it well enough.

GEC #78 in Black Micarta
This is probably my most pocketable "large" knife. It fits well in the watch pocket and isn't obtrusive. I think the round bolsters help a lot with that. Also, it is very easy for me to open with my arthritic fingers. While the half stop position is solid, it's not hard to overcome like many GECs. A very nice knife all-around and one that I'm sure will get a lot of pocket time. I think my #14 is going to get a little jealous...

The 78s I have, particularly the single blade ones, have some of the best pulls and action out of all my GECs, with the exception of one or two of my older 15s. They really are a pleasure. When I carry one, I often "fidget" with it at my desk because of how pleasing the walk and talk is.

Picking up where I left off. (I'm going to have to start limiting myself on the number of posts I let myself respond to each day in this fast-moving thread.)

You are to be commended, GT, for your monumental daily efforts. I think I speak for most, if not all, when I say that your attentiveness to everyone is noted and very much appreciated.

You are most welcome my friend. :)View attachment 1047754

That Case Sowbelly is a real beauty, Dwight. Probably the nicest I've seen. I really love the federal shield paired with the white bone, makes for a stunning combination. I have been keeping an eye out for a nice Sowbelly to try out. Contacted a lad here on the forums about a Winchester he had listed but he disappeared (come to think of it, I hope he is alright, haven't seen him since that listing).

The little Lick Creek is special, isn't it?

I really enjoy seeing the love you are giving that knife, r8shell. It certainly is a worthy one.

Lighting was rather poor today but I had these two on hand. They make for a useful pairing.

I forgot to post more of my knives from this week's group earlier today. Better do it now before I fall asleep! ;)
