What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I went for a bushwalk this evening with a knife that seems to find a way into my pocket a lot - a little D.W.Childress - that took a liking to an old yellow box tree.

I have never seen or heard so many foxes in one place. There is one running away in the center of the top photo, if you look hard.

Thanks GT! :thumbsup:It is a Sowbelly in Black Curly Maple Wood. It was literally the last knife I bought last year, but came in the mail in 2019, so I have no bought any knife this year...yet ;)

Went surf fishing this morning; a nice, cool, sunny, breezy January morning. Not much biting besides sharks, not even the small bait stealers you usually have in the surf. I stayed three hours because it was so nice to be nearly alone on the beach and just bask in the winter sunshine. Carried my Buc 307 Wrangler and Buck 110 - the Folding Hunter cut the shrimp today. Great pics, it does look like a beautiful day. Remember what they say, the worst day fishing is still better than the best day working. Makes me want to get out and do some fishing, maybe some half pounders next weekend.

Nice!:cool::thumbsup: How did that knife that went to Seattle with you handle the results of Saturday's game?
The knife did its best to cheer me up. Actually, with how this season was supposed to go I was pleased with just making it to the playoffs. I think it spells some success going forward into next year. I am now rooting for the Chargers as I would like to see Rivers get a Superbowl ring after all his accomplishments.

Beautiful knife and photos.

@Old Hunter I really enjoyed your surf fishing pics. Wife and I were on the OBX January before last driving the beach from Bodie Island down to the bottom of Ocracoke. So beautiful in the winter when no-one is there.

Sticking with the Camillus army engineer knife.

Cool fact of the day: The Camillus #14 pattern used to make the WW2 army engineer knife actually predates the war, and saw continual use to produce the Camillus 99 Camper, and even the Sword Brand 97 Camper into the 1980’s.
