I'd call it a new knife, rather than modern, and I'll bet it will age incredibly well!:thumbsup::cool:

That's a beauty, David; great work!:cool::thumbsup: (And a cool navy story.)

Ironwood lambsfoot/Case stockman gives you a lot of blade variety in a pair of tools, Jack!:cool::thumbsup:

Thanks for the "color commentary", Dylan. ;):thumbsup: Your photos make it clear that you have a very perceptive artist's eye!:thumbsup::cool: (I, however, have an artistic cataract.)

I came to BF not caring much for "white" knives, but some of you are starting to change my tastes. Paul & Rachel, those handsome smooth ivory bone knives make me wish I was "one of the boys"!:thumbsup::cool:

Stuart, I always enjoy your commentary on the knives we post here. Thanks!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Cool story, Gizler00 Gizler00 !:cool::cool: Sometimes Mom (and even mom-in-law ) really does know best! :D

:D:D Vince, when I first came here, I had no interest in single-bladed folders, either. But I'm expanding my horizons, and often carry single-blade knives now (although I still think I prefer multi-bladed/tooled knives).

Hey, there's an iconic 1-blade folder right there! ;) The jigged bone SBJr was perhaps the first knife that made me consider single-blades as a viable option.:cool::thumbsup:

Quite a desirable duo: 2 fine patterns, 2 fine cover materials, 2 fine colors!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, Senhor José. :)

Beautiful Bulldog Barlow; you have so many excellent knives!!:cool::thumbsup:

I didn't realize that the Calf Roper #66 was a small enough stockman to be "work legal" for you, John!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hey, I just like math too, Jeff!:cool:;)

Pretty pleasurable just to peer a pictures, too; thanks for posting 'em, Buzz!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Simply irresistible! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Ancient, Honorable, Superlative! You know how to pick 'em, Dean!:cool::cool:

Looks very healthy, Ken! ;):thumbsup: Didn't Barney the Dinosaur have a song about how he loved to eat, eat, eat, pineapples and bananas??

I'm carrying a couple of copperheads this week.

There's something poetic about having a Rough Rider and a Colt together!

Was thinking about a comparison: the GEC 15 Barehead with Spear is an excellent quality knife, all steel and very well finished, nice in hand. I like to compare it with the BB Swell Centre Pen which is a bit smaller, slimmer handle, has brass and is a bit less exacting in finish. But, it feels great in the hand, plus it gives you another blade without bulk or thickness.

So, today's choice of Spear goes to the BB. It's wonderful to have these options.

As a paid member, you should be able to post pictures straight to the forum. I find that I have to reduce the quality a little. If you get the message that the photo is too large, mess around with the size and/or quality until it works.

Just to add, if the photo is around 500 kb, I have no problems. Save it somewhere, then select upload file to post it.

Got the following instructions from @flatblackcapo several months ago, and it works for me:

"I don't use my phone for much more than a phone and taking pics so posting from a pc is easier for me. This is my method, using the Firefox browser.
Find the pic wanted on Flickr in the photostream, click on that
it takes you to the page with just that pic. In the lower right hand corner there is a arrow with a line under it, click that and choose " View all sizes"
Choose the size you want to post and right click on the pic, select "view image info"
A window will pop up and the text needed should already be highlighted.
right click that highlighted line and copy.
Go back to the forum and click on the little mountain in the square next to the smiley face.
Paste the text into the pop up window and click insert.
You should see your pic in your post now. If you don't see it, something went wrong.
I hope I explained it so it is understandable. Writing is not my forte.
hit me up if you have any questions."

An alternative way is to post from my phone, but I have to reduce the size of the file. I e-mail myself a photo and choose the medium size (I think the pic has to be under 4 mb). Then I save the e-mailed photo in my pictures and upload from there. The pics are not as clear as the one I post from Flickr, though.

Hope this helps.

Edit: not sure if mb or kb--not good with stupid metric system. But I know a pint when I see one!

Thanks guys. I think I have it figured out. I went back and edited my post.

Thanks for the help!

Current traditionals that I carry. Minus a few sak’s that I also have. The GEC #14 gets used quite a bit. I found the kutmaster(knife in center) in an old sewing box from my wife’s grandmother not sure on any other details of it or year. The Camillus was my dads from his time in the service. The date says 1966. I never use it. Not sure why. I just keep it in a case.
