What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I'm totin' these two old friends today, both Robeson: the strawberry bone is from 1948-1959 and the brown is from 1940-1964.

It's fixed blade Friday. Toting this old Gutmann 461 that was always in my dads tackle box when I was a kid. Tip was broken, I reground it years ago. I blued it, or maybe its a vinegar patina? I don't remember. I made the sheath. Think its been sharpened a few times?

Cool pic. Toting a stag knife myself (lambsfoot) and a S&W .38 Special (rosewood grips).

Some more pics from the archives of the old case pen. These pics are 10 years old.

Look at how thin the frame is, barely thicker'n a 2 bit piece

Look at the secondary blade, as thin as it is someone still had the skill to put a swedge on it. It's so thin it flexes like a fillet knife almost 90* and springs back straight with no ill effect.

The back of the secondary is so thin it almost looks like a sharpened false edge

Those are gorgeous RR knives, Gary. You have an eye for attractive bone.

Thank you, Gary! You have another two beautiful ones today.:thumbsup:

Carrying my newest Case Barlows today . Stag made in 2012 and purchased in 2014 and the 2019 Smooth Antique Bone . Both knives .31 or 5/16's at thickest part of Bolster and a shade over 3 & 5/16's but not 3 & 3/8's as advertised . Very happy to have each knife . Sorry for the lousy low light photos .

But I am also carrying one of my old TEW's just in case there was any work needing to be done .

The TEW is 4 & 1/8 inch

I noticed that the Stag Case Barlow's ( which I have rarely carried ) bolster was not very shiny even after I rubbed it down with a clean soft cloth so I compared to my Northfield 77 Old Red which I have carried a lot .

Beautiful Bulldog Barlow; you have so many excellent knives!!:cool::thumbsup:

Thank you Mr. Gary, yes I have very good knives, but I would like to have many more, that would only be possible if I were in the United States of America.
Here in Portugal it is very difficult and expensive to buy knives outside the European Union, I returned a knife because the Customs wanted me to pay € 76.00, after having paid € 60.00 to the seller, this is unbearable and greatly increases the cost of the knife...

Wow! That is robbery!
Just bought a knife from Spain and the shipping was incredibly expensive.

I have really enjoyed seeing the knives you have posted.
