What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I feel like I'm high steppin when I carry this one. I like to look at the red bone out in the sun.

One of my favorite knives, an 087PE

Nice hard to find pattern! I've been looking for another one of these since my original got swiped by a "friend" of mine back in the 1980's. You are one lucky pup to own one! Thanks for showing it here.

Nice one.Nickel silver liners? The spey blade is the perfection of swedges.

I have a medium Brown Mule. I keep it in my glove compartment in case I ever forget to leave the house without a knife (yeah right, but theoretically it could happen). The handles were a bit rough at first, but it smoothed out really well after I treated the wood slabs with Tru-Oil and took some 0000 steel wool to it.

I cleaned mine up a bit. I used my belt grinder to thin the handle down so more of the spine of the blade would be grippable. I had to work on the joint to loosen it up, I sanded down the handle, smoothed it with steel wool, and put a breewax finish on it. I also etched the blade. I like it a lot, now.

I carried my Case Amber Bone Peanut. Case Small Texas Jack in Amber Bone. A Case Trapper with Bonestag. A SAK Tinker. And a SAK Classic SD on my key ring. Only used the Texas Jack to open a package while making dinner. :-( I have to find some wood to make into toothpicks.

I saw the interview last night about the girl that her scarf got caught in a car wash and she passed out. The guy that saved her was interviewed. He said he just picked up his pocketknife and put in his pocket that morning.

I jumped on that immediately with my wife and daughter. See, see, you need to be sure you have yours in your purse or pocket just in case.

I don't know what he had in his pocket yesterday, but I would guess it was some sort of traditional based on seeing the guy.

Me...well my yellerhandle cv soddie, and due to what I have to do today, I am adding my yellerhandle cv peanut.

Hey there fellow members,

Ya'll sure are sport'n some fine looking/sounding slipjoints these days. Thanks for showing them here for us all to see.

I switched up today and carried an old knife that is close to my heart because of the memories it holds for me, not to mention the cutting ability of their honed sharp blades. My uncle Lew's old Case # 64047P Stockman. I sure do miss him..
