For the past several days I've been back to my peanut for utility, and my newest favorite food knife, the Queen D2 5" toothpick... Wicked thin slicing blade!

A Buck Stockman with imitation Pearl scales and hollow ground blades and for comparison, a Queen Stockman in D-2 with Burnt Stag Scales.

Pulled out my Case 3318 today and touched up the edges, oiled the joints then dropped it in my pocket. I'm gonna carry it to work tomorrow too. The 3318's really do make good pocket knives.
Maybe that's the reason my Grandad gave me one when I was a boy.

Today my Gerber folding sportsman 1. A very typikal in design traditional 1980-ties knife. Hevy squary design but good balance and very good fit and finish. A early folder for me with a story of its own, forever putting it in my rotation.

Since I am home most of the time, I often change my mind as the day goes on. So we will see what comes next. If anything.

This guy was my pocket buddy for most of today. It usually lives in my pickup waiting to be used. About a year ago, while I was in the middle of cutting up a bunch of stuff out back of the house, I must have set it on the back bumper of the pickup. I remember not being able to find it and just grabbed another to finish up what I was doing. Still hounded by what I did with it, I went thru just about every place imaginable but still couldn't find it. Just figured it would show up eventually.
A few days later I spotted it in the road at a traffic signal about 5 miles from the house. Stopped, got out and picked it back up. It looked run over a few times but for the most part it was still in great shape. The blades don't quite close right but there is still good snap to the blades and the bone is intact on both sides.
