What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Stitch, I was wondering if you could share some info for me on the Peanut-line in general.
How tough are they? Does it's size hinder alof of "hard" cutting? I really don't want to snap something, or bend.
Having never owned much for new traditionals, I also haven't used them much, if at all. 6 months is alot of learning time.
Can you help?
Bladeboss.
Thanks

I sent you a message on your profile/home page

Glad I'm not the only one who likes the Alox Solo.
I call it my "Swiss Equal End one bladed Jack" ;
One heck of a knife built like a tank:thumbup:

This is my first Vic Alox and it has taken up residence in my right front pocket along with my Leatherman Micra. Right now, that seems to be the perfect combination for me.

Today I'm totin an Ulster Scout knife. It was pretty dirty when I got it and the scales were very dried out, but it looked to have never been used. I spent a good while cleaning it with toothpicks and pipe cleaners then I oiled it liberally to saturate the plastic scales. Gave it a good sharpening and reshaped the punch a bit to make it...punchier :)

Now its shaving hair and taking names!

What type of oil did you use? I have one that could use the same treatment.

Just some good old mineral oil. I brushed it liberally on the scales and let it sit over night. Then I took a rag and wiped off the excess. I've done the same thing on other knives with celluloid scales and it works well.

I found out how to take pictures with the webcam on my computer, so here is mon visage with the Case Trapper I`m carrying today.
