What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Harry that guy told me he only has one Rendezvous Whaler and one Ironwood Whaler! :)
I figured that because he went all cheap in front of me and only bought one of the Ironwoods in front of me , but then again I knew that he usually buys 2 or 6 of everything . But then again , maybe he was making sure that there was one left for me . They were a pretty well priced item with great Ironwood that day .

A 2015 Lick Creek 38 in smooth Ivory bone that has mellowed nicely with time:cool: Had one, sold it, regretted it, then bought this one from Lyle at the Rendezvous:thumbsup:

I’ve always loved the look of the Lick Creeks, what is that pattern, some kind or budding/agricultural knife? Looks like it would be great for cuttin’ cardboard/paper and twine/plastic strapping and a great wire stripper. ;):)

I know a guy like that Harry! He usually has a backup for his backups!;)

Paul that one has aged beautifully my friend!

Thanks Jack!
Thank you Ron, it has been in a knife roll from two years back just after the rendezvous. It was for the most part, pretty white in color. I have been contemplating putting it into my knife carry rotation like the first one I owned. When I grabbed it from the knife roll I was amazed, yet pleased on how much it has darkened over time:) I like both your carries today but your Bob tribute is so special:cool::thumbsup:

Can't seem to keep up with this thread in the manner to which I was accustomed, and it's causing a real crisis of confidence (and a Porch identity crisis for me, since I was kind of known for my "multi quotes"). I guess I'll post some of the knives I'm carrying this week and call it good enough for now.

Thanks Ted, I have liked the look of these as well but never carried one until Charlie and Lyle released their SFO's, the Orchard Gem of Charlies and the Lick Creek of Lyle's.

I have worked in the trades all my life so I have an appreciation of what I refer to as a "trade blade" a purpose built/designed blade/knife. It is as you describe, a budding/agricultural and throw in horticultural knife and executes all the tasks you listed. I build decks and in 2015 I demo'd some solid concrete steps and replaced with a cedar deck/entry porch. I fell in love with how handy this knife was throughout the entire project. Scored lumber, opened bags of mulch, sharpened my pencil until I tired of looking for it so just used the pruning blade to score the lumber after endlessly chasing after the damn pencil:D

The ergo's just work so well for me:thumbsup:

Thanks Paul and Harry! :) I’m really fond of “Biscuit”! I showed it to Bill and William at the Rendezvous last year. Bill looked it over but didn’t comment much. William really liked it. Who knows, maybe someday! :D
