Something I often think about is if I had to travel like I did when I was younger, living out of a backpack for months at a time, what knives would I take with me. On past ventures it's been the Vic farmer and I think a Gerber L.L. Bean L.S.T.
Other long trips Vic Rucksack ( lost my first Farmer) and Spyderco native.
If I was to do extended travel like I use to do, I think it would be this combo.
Vic Farmer, Boker Stockman, Case Peanut. I believe these three could take care of most task.

One my way out the door, with these two for company.

I felt the need for some serious cutting implements today.
I'm glad that they aren't aware of the fact that they are made of cheap steel. They are my best cutters.

I may be in danger of enducing thread drift with this, but Gevonovich's deja vu post of Pete's combo spurred me to copycat action. I can play this deja vu game too though admittedly not as beautifully as those guys.

Mid-day switch. The Craftsman small stockman got some use this morning, along with my Victorinox SwissTool RS, but this afternoon I decided to replace it with the Case 6344 HE. Since I just got the Case less than two weeks ago, it hasn't had as much pocket time as the Craftsman.

My GEC 72 Beaver Tail came today, and promptly went in my pocket. Discovered that the tip was sticking out a little when closed, enough that I got myself a little cut on a finger the first time I tried to get it out of my pocket. Nothing a little filing on the kick didn't fix. Used a little leather cord to make a quick lanyard (I've never had a lanyard on a folder before, but for some reason I really like the way it looks on this one), and I'm excited for this to be my new EDC. It's exactly the knife I was looking for.

You mean something like this?

I used a pretty thick leather lanyard, but it works well. I didn´t EDC that knife very much. But I gonna do this in future... ;)

Kind regards
