What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Well Gary, as the old sayin goes, "you cant say you drank all day unless you start in the morning" :), only thing i have to do today is go to the farmers market and post pics of my GEC when it arrives. Have a great day gentlemen. Here is some goodness in ebony.

Picked up this opinel #8 at a farmer's market in Falaise France today d did a great job on the fruit and sausages also purchased at the market!

Thats a REAL nice looking piece, wish they had that model without the sheild...the patina is coming along nicely.

I got this one yet again...some parts its black from use, when the 2012 comes in i'll likely work on that one for a year as well.
 
Thanks man. I kinda sorta got it because of you actually. With you posting photos of that beauty you have there it made me want one real bad. I loved everything about the 2011 knife except the cap lifter, so I went with this one instead. I've had it about a month-month and half and I love it.
 
So i started the day off with this

figuring it IS a soddie and it IS the last few week of Soddie month, it should be used

its a Seal's modified SS Case sodbuster jr...i believe he said it was stabilized maple for the handles

That's defo Traditional! Those are fine knives with really good filework that he French excel in. Excellent fit&finish.

Is that Compagnon or Compact? I have an Ebony in the former and a Stag in the latter. The Compact is a quality knife for the pocket, Le Compagnon is a lot bigger but works excellently as a picnic food prep knife- all stainless construction, no brass.

Today it will be CASE SBJ in stainless for me, Bermuda Green pocket worn.

Sunday... Mooseday again, with a small Carl Schlieper Mini Congress in blue acrylic for me today

Yesterday was the mighty Mercator K55K with me at day on the building lot and the Carl Schlieper Muskrat on evening while I had some beer with a few friend :D
