The rope cutter is one cool knife...wow !
Thank you Gev!!! Fantastic image of your lovely old Imperial Hammer; very cool covers!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thank you JJ. That Rope cutter blade is super duper. So are the covers. Heck...So is the Barlow.:)
Thank you Harvey; when S&M/Queen got it right they made some great pieces!:):thumbsup:
A simply elegant image of your lovely lamb; you certainly find awesome decorative leaves, very cool!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Friday already, but I'm quoting posts that date back to Sunday!
Those Chameleon Cases look turquoise today!:cool::cool: Nice trio of knives!

If I'm going to carry the same three knives forever, I guess I'd better start looking for some more thrilling backdrops. (I don't expect this one to thrill anybody.)
...
Is this a formal announcement of intended commitment?? ;):cool:

Thank you, Gary! The Farmer you gave me has no reason to play second fiddle to the Case. I really do like the color of the scales on it.

Glad to hear you finished the Foundation series; it does end rather sadly, but also triumphantly in that he exceeded his programing in a great way.

Excellent photo of your ironwood Lambsfoot.
...
Thanks for the photo compliment, Dean. :)
A Vic Farmer is a very appealing pattern, probably my favorite of the Alox models I have.
I'm glad I read all those Asimov novels in "chronological order"; he did a great job of tying everything together with some of the novels written later (1980s).
Your Eisenhower is a pale beauty!:thumbsup::cool:

Carrying these two on a rainy day in our nations capital! My Jigged Bone WCLF and a Sambar Stag Pen knife, the “Mink” by Parker-Frost. The Mink was manufactured 1976-1978 and was a surprise gift from Stuart @Duckdog. Thanks again buddy!:)
...
Plaudits to Stuart for his generosity!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
That stag Mink is quite a knife, Ron. It challenges my meager knife classification skills, though. Is it a shadow pattern, or would you say it has the tiniest of tip bolsters??

Calf Roper and an Imperial EZ today
...
...
Your "free choices" remind me of M. Friedman's "Free To Choose"; outstanding Gary!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

After seeing Jack Black's Keen Kutter Jack I thought I'd add one to my "easy open" totes for today; an Imperial "Navy Jack" and a KK Ebony Harness Jack. :)
...
Impressive pairs, Steve & JJ; those Imperial EO jacks are champs!!:thumbsup::cool:
JJ, my "free choice" carries were certainly not inspired by Friedman! My knowledge of economics is minuscule! :D

That stag Dixie is one svelte stockman, Gary!:cool::thumbsup:

...
Morning folks, hope everyone had a great weekend. Thought I'd start off my week with my Hartshead Barlow SFO and the #66 Duncan @Campbellclanman kindly gifted me when we met up in York a few months back (great day) :) Have a good week everyone
...
Commendable carries, Jack; the patina on the bolster of your HHB is very appealing to me!:cool::thumbsup:

That's a fantastic picture, GT. Well captured reflection
...
Thanks, John; I usually think of reflections as the curse of my knife photography attempts! ;)

The Colors of the season. Case Autumn bone Barlow and shadow half Whittler.
...
An evergreen tree with another tree growing in it changing color (pointed out by my wife on our walk).
...
Preeminent pair of Fall fotos, Dean!:cool::cool: That tree within a tree is unusual, as is the shadow pattern Case, at least in my experience.

...
5K Qs 5K Qs - Sharp Looking Stag Colt, GT.
...
Thanks, Harvey. :) Your photo of the triple rattail bolster stag lambs foot on the red maple leaf is stupendous!!:thumbsup::cool:

I received this little Latama penknife as a wedding present fifty-two years ago today, so this seemed like a good day to carry it. It's in better condition today than I am. (But the marriage is still going great!)
...
Belated anniversary greetings, Headwinds Headwinds ; 52 years is impressive to me! :):thumbsup: And that's a lovely knife to commemorate your wedding day!

Notable smooth ivory bone pair, @Travman!:cool::cool:

An old Belknap Hardware Jack:thumbsup:
...
That's a grand old jack, Paul! :cool::thumbsup::cool:
For Tuesday/para martes/pour mardi:...
Vince, your peanut/lambsfoot/Laguiole trio is delightful, and makes me think of Goldilocks!:thumbsup::cool:

...
Morning folks, carrying these two today :)
...
Jack, your jigged bone WCLF and GEC moose are a primo pair with those 3 big and varied blades!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Same knife... same backdrop... different day... :D
...
And different lighting, too, I think. I really like this photo of Sköll, John, with the ironwood/grain looking darker against a background that looks lighter. Brings out the wildness of the Wolf! ;):thumbsup:

I'm absolutely giddy this morning. Today I'm carrying my first custom slipjoint. This beautiful JH Lloyd shadow Stag is gorgeous, and I can't wait to see how it ages in my pocket. Thank you, Alan, for letting this beauty go!
...
I've paired it today with a custom Fiddleback Forge Esquire in Box Elder Burl (Thanks, Phillip!) and of course, my Peanut.
Congrats to a giddy guy, Shawn! ;):thumbsup: That Lloyd shadow stag is incredible! (I've admired Alan's Lloyd stags often.:cool:)

...
It's Two Punch Tuesday (awl day long) around here. ;)
...
Unlike some of my pics, yours is certainly NOT pointless, Rachel!;)

Brown Rucarta A.G. Russell and smooth bone RR canoe.View attachment 1217733
What does RR call the covers on the canoe? That mottled look is cool!:cool::thumbsup:

Practical and pleasurable pair, Jeff! You must be jubilant every time you look at your jigging job!:thumbsup:;)

Another great pairing Jack; two more from the opposite sides of the "pond," excellent!:thumbsup::cool:

My totes for today are two from Schatt & Morgan (Queen); a bone covered Barlow and a "worm groove" rope cutter.:)

Thank you JJ, you're showing another couple of beauties there, I love that Rope Knife

Lol... Thanks, Jack. :D:thumbsup:

Another great pairing, Jack. Hope you have a great day.:thumbsup:

Thanks a lot John :)

It's been a lot of fun carrying Skoll, my Ironwood Lambsfoot all month. We have really been bonding.:thumbsup:

I've very much enjoyed the Month of The Wolf :)

Little (3 1/4") schrade cut jack knife.

Those two look good together Dylan

Lovely pic Harvey

The time has come to stop babying the safe queens and start carrying them on a daily basis. View attachment 1219056

Outstanding stag

Lovely day for a Lambsfoot!

Looks like a great day in the woods my friend :)

Draft Beer Acrylic Beer Scout Knife, not carrying my SAK Alox Pioneer today and would feel lost without the flat blade screwdriver:)

That's some great-looking acrylic Paul

Interesting pairing Vince :)

I convexed the edge on this Brisa Trapper. The change is very subtle, since the edge is quite thin behind the convexed part. I went through at least 6 grits of wet sandpaper. Damn this is sharp. Also I sanded the handle for a better grip and it worked.

That looks good :)

Commendable carries, Jack; the patina on the bolster of your HHB is very appealing to me!:cool::thumbsup:

Thank you Gev!!! Fantastic image of your lovely old Imperial Hammer; very cool covers!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thank you fine Sir !

Today's two totes are both the same pattern from the same company in the same era, one civilian and one military issue; a 1923-39 walnut electrician and a cocobolo TL-29 from Robeson.:)
Two gorgeous workhorse specimens !! Classics. Makes me want to get one out ;):thumbsup:

Thanks! He is a good boy. 100% pure bred mutt. We see clues, but do not know his history.
My son brought him home as a 5 wk old pup a year and a half before he passed away, so the dog is my son’s living legacy. Smartest, most loving, most stick-right- by-my-side dog I’ve ever had, and I have had dogs all my life.

Thanks for the chance to talk about my best friend!View attachment 1219171

So sorry about your son :(, its a good thing dogs can be so comforting.
I have invested myself into a pup since our kids are gone and we have no grandkids and I'm enjoying having a friend that sticks by me all the time er at least when my wife isnt around. Haha27863.jpeg 27860.jpeg
