Been absent since Tuesday, up in the mountains of northern Idaho for round two with a whitetail buck. Actually found a little cell service.

I used Vincent’s @VCM3 Wasabi Mustard Method to put a forced patina on this blade. I hope that traditionalists are not too upset that I had the pen blade removed, but the knife totes so much better as a single blade!

I'm totin' a Gary Cunningham small hunter (2017) and an Eldon Courtney folder (1981) with a Marlin 336C (.35 Rem., 1972) to a friend's farm to check the red dot sight in preparation for a possible feral hog hunt in a couple months. It's gorgeous day to be outside today in our neck of the woods (checking the sight is just an excuse).

I still don't have a camera but I got another knife !
To go with my Buffalo Horn Teardrop a Case Trapper with same.
These make a nice pair to carry together I think.
Looks great with the brass liners and brass pins ! As you all know the Trapper is my favorite frame / style of knife. Perfect blade shape, perfect handle size and shape.

Rode on a boat float in the Morehead City Veterans Day Parade today, carried my SCC Minuteman (the old Ulster 58OT pattern but with stainless steel blades). Heading off tomorrow after lunch for four days in the woods & swamps deer hunting. OH
