What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Lots of nice pieces in the last few pages but I have to say my favorite is probably Jeff's. One of the prettiest F&W knives they've done I think.

At home today, using the Hanson regrind.

I carried an Alox Pioneeer the last couple of days. No picture of it yet though. I think a photo is needed even though Pioneers are pretty common. I'll try to catch a few minutes to set up a picture this afternoon. I'll be carrying it again tomorrow, so I'll post the pic then.

Got my very first Case knife--although I have owned an adopted Small Caliber for awhile, but I think I speak for most when I say "That isn't exactly the same."--three days ago as a gift. 5107W Stag Rancher wharncliffe CV. Its literally ~everything~ I was looking for in a slipjoint. Need I state that this will be cherished for the rest of my life?

Thanks, Nate, the orginal blade was a spear before Don Hanson reground it for me.

Now THAT's what I call an improvement. I was always hesitant to buy a knife with such a long spear or spey blade, but this gives me a whole lot of ideas.

For me it's back to the Geppetto (old pic).

Seeing Gevo's Hammer reminded me I needed to post another of the Shapleigh DE.

I love this pic, I do not care how old it may be. You know, I have always loved the #57's looks, but I never saw it as enough justification to get one for an EDC. How do you like it Sturzi?

Just slid this fresh new Soddy, direct from my Post Office Box just about an hour or so ago, into my right front pocket for the first time ever!. I think I am liking her!.

Cheers to All,

Its a beautiful Shapleigh knife...play on words intended. The handle material looks like micarta or maybe its just the lighting ?

Good eye, micarta it is. It was a find in the junk pile at a local knife shop but was missing the front cover, and the pile cover (bone) was so loose it moves 1/8" in any direction, held by 1 pin. I rescaled it in Black Paper Micarta. cleaned it up a bit, and have been carrying it the last month or so. I prefer the old ones to new modern anyday, a SBJ that is the only "new" traditional I carry from time to time, but it was left in the chest for this.

Repair thread. MODS: I think this is ok, please let me know if not.

Taking advantage of a vacation day to carry this Queen Woodsman:

(Can't carry it to work. Doesn't meet the size regulations.)
