Got the top one today, my middle daughter sent me a gift card, I made good use of it ;) well, my wife doesn't think so but hey, it was my birthday present....

Top one is the 3 rivet model in carbon blade and the bottom one is also a Messer folder, stainless with a nice Anchor inlay

I'm glad to see someone else who keeps the old shells in use. What are you lookin' for, Bruce? I know that y'all have grouse, quail, and snipe still in season. Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie? Nice old Buck and Filson vest, too.

Thank you! Hunting Bobwhite Quail, the traditional southern game“bird” - just got home, will add some pictures later. OH

I pack this Bose 1306 everyday and use it for everything. I had this scrimshaw done to dress up the stag. Sounds like a strange thing to do on such a knife but I think it’s improvement. The stag was plain and didn’t match in color, character, or thickness. This knife may not of looked like I had expected it to when I received it but it is definitely the finest functioning knife I own.

Can't speak for others, but I think it's neat. Personalizing a knife you love, making it yours, that's pretty great if you ask me!

I always like to see you post that old Lambfoot Harvey and the Northfield Congress is very nice too my friend . You need to bring them up to Janesville so we can see them .

Thank you Harry for the kind words and future invitation. Seeing you and your stellar collection would be a fine experience. Here’s to the future.:thumbsup:

@Gevonovich - Thank you Gev.:)

Gary W. Graley Gary W. Graley - Happy belated Birthday, Gary. Loving your new Otter as much as the other. Congratulations.

D Duckdog - That Cannady fixed blade is fine, Stuart. The LL Bean has a great vintage look.

Thanks for the pics, Bruce, as I'd not seen a Red Quail before and loved seeing Mr. & Mrs, Bob again. (We have 2 coveys that we protect at our hunting camp.) What's the 16 ga. O/U?

I thought to sell it because of the stag but then realized I would likely never get the opportunity to own one like it again.

Bingo! I agree with that second thought.

Thanks, Harvey. The Cannady is easily pocket-able (6" OAL, 2.75" ATS 34 steel blade) and a pleasure to use on doves. I don't know the age of the Bean knife, but it is present day sharp and, as you say, a handsome pocket companion.

D Duckdog - the O/U is a 16 gauge Browning White Lightning (Citori) from the 2010 SFO run. My wife bought me that gun for Valentine Day in 2011 and it has been my nearly 100% bird gun ever sense (I don’t hunt it in the rain - have two old 16 gauge guns for that use). If you are interested I understand Browning just released a Shot Show special this year in 16 gauge (not in the catalog). Buddy of mine has been wanting one and he told me he found two of them in a shop just yesterday, think he is going to buy one tomorrow. Buck Knife also had some specials introduced at the Shot Show - no better pair in the woods than Buck & Browning! OH
Ps. For today I’m back to work and back to my #66 GEC.
