Love the old parker, have one just like it that I used my whole school life and don't really use now (afraid to lose it).

Carried this one for part of the day. Trying out this flatbed scanner nonsense.

I think I could have fun with this :)

Having to sell off a lot of knives lately, but as a sort of personal consolation prize I picked up a canvas micarta #79 Montana Whittler from rockgolfer at a good price. I am floored by the quality and solid feel of this knife.

WOW Kevin, thats just amazing.

Glad you like it Steve. I have another or I would have never sold that one. Just trying to keep my group streamlined. That spear blade is a BEAST on the #79

Thanks guys! I got the idea from the guys in here that do it. I could never get over the detail I saw in some scanner shots. It has some blown out highlight/lost detail on the bolsters, but aside from that this will be my go to from now on if I need to shoot at night or really want to show detail. Great way not to spend money on a macro lens :)

It is worth a try DeadFall :)

There was a lot more room to zoom in on the scan too before hitting 100percent. It just a cheapo scanner too. I can't imagine with a nice one.

Haha! I don't know how well its going to work on other knives.

But Jeff, if you start a thread I will at least post that picture :)
