What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Wow that was a few years ago wasn't it. Great to see you still getting good use out of that old slippy r8shell.
Yes, it's been a little while, thank you. When folks ask, "How many knives are enough?" I answer: Enough that I can come across one in the box that I haven't carried in a while and it's like getting a new knife, or meeting an old friend.":)
Dance with the partner that brung 'ya.

I put a polished edge on this folder, proving that even a cheap knife can get you home safely. I have more expensive stuff, but then, what's the point of polishing something that is already perfect?
Come on. You must be doing this on purpose.

View attachment 1307028 Sitting here touching up the edges on my carries for today, and I thought I’d show y’all the tang stamps.
The Case 6232 is no mystery, 3.5” of CV goodness from what? 1985? 5 Stars...

The old cigar jack is stamped Eagle PHILA. I have read that it was a hardware store in Philadelphia who bought seconds and over runs, many from NYKCo/ Hammer Brand, ground off the tang, and re-stamped with Eagle.

A timeline ranging from 1875 through 1943.
This old girl is 4.25” closed, the larger blade retains good snap both ways, while the smaller blade has slow snap.
The combination of the grind and the steel makes this the absolute champion in sharpness, both in achieving and retention of my small collection.
It’s size, shape, the worn smoothness of the old ebony, nickle silver bolsters and shield make it a real favorite of mine.
The fact that it’s a little worn, marked up, and slightly abused makes it just like me.:D
