Cool-looking pair :)

Lol, sure could, or maybe a t-shirt, as long as you include images of the kukri, tomahawk and lambsfoot, I think it works!:thumbsup:

:D

Thank you, Jack. :)

Keeping the Lambsfoot safe from people coughing on it... Can't be too careful.:thumbsup:

...

Yes, I was a full time saddle maker before I had kids and became a teacher. I just started back as a hobby.

Yes indeed! :D The stuff that's in my house is unbelievable John

Like many folks here, you have had an interesting career my multi-talented friend :)

Texas Jack again today. Had to venture out for some essentials today ;)

Nice catch! ;) :D

Sadly Will, I don't often drink domestic. American bourbon or Caribbean rum for me :D

I have a nice bottle of rum I need to make some inroads into ;)

Middle of week three working at home. It’s been the M&G 78 Yankee Whittler, and Farmer combination in pocket or on the table. I think I chuckled when I saw little B&BW hand gels in the Christmas stocking.

Reading with some Monty Python on in the background now, “always look on the bright side of life..”

Here's the story about this knife.
JC Penny used to be a Case dealer. I happened to be in their Case shop when they were having their closeout sale, and I got this Appaloosa for a fraction of its worth. It was their last one, and its only defect was that it was a nail breaker. Because of this I hardly ever used it.
One evening after a few too many 'cold ones', I decided to give the blades a patina. I filled a tall, narrow glass (actually a novelty shot glass) with vinegar and began the ritual of repeatedly dipping and wiping the blades. Then the inevitable happened: I dropped the entire knife, handles and all, into the vinegar. The acetic acid immediately began eating the handles. When I pulled it out of the vinegar, it was ruined. Since then, I have been trying to somehow rejuvenate the handles with polish and wax, and it is no longer a nail breaker.

The mention of Monty Python reminded me of the scene in The Holy Grail of the guy pulling a cart around yelling, "Bring out your dead! Bring out your dead!", and I just started laughing hysterically.

Kind of dark humour during a pandemic.

OK, I'll go to bed now.

Wonderful wood my friend, and thanks for reminding me what day it is! :D

Morning everyone, hope you're all doing OK :) Being greedy again today ;) Hartshead Barlow, Dutch Army Knife, Mini-Skrama :)

I enjoy seeing someone that seems to have found "the" knife for them.... you perhaps have found that in the Texas Jack? I've been "eye-balling" one on the big auction site online... just haven't quite convinced myself to hit that "buy" button.
That's me, trying to exercise some control.....

also nice to see you have your priorities straight on "essentials"....
