What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

@cigarrodog back story on this is a Civivi Rustic Gent damascus lockback folder with carbon fiber bolsters and G10 scales, added a bobtail fob with a Viking Rune, this is a super slicer with quite thin behind the edge blade.

Beautiful, Sir. Nice fob

I always enjoy this thread but rarely post in it because I am so boring and rarely change out my knife.

moki blakiston's fish owl has been my 2020 carry and I really like it. A bit larger than my my typical small knife, it is so slim and light that I hardly notice it until I need it. Very capable. It’s my first lockback in 35+ years. It’s also the first stainless knife in a very long time. I am a big fan.

Nice to see another "Moki Man" here on The Porch :)

I think I may have found the perfect carry for Monday-Friday. Small/non-threatening, capable and completely fascinating.

It was glorious to be up in the mountains with fantastic weather.
What made it even better was my son had just got done washing the Jeep for me. Such a good boy.

Aww... Good lad :)

I kinda walk funny with or without my knives. But if my hand brushes my leg, and feels an empty pocket, I get a jolt of lost-knife panic.

I know that feeling Jeff, doesn't happen very often, but it feels like someone has robbed your grave! :D

The small one worked out really well with the Halfrich and an LC Jr., Dave. I also snagged an extra small one that fits my Pinched Peanut, Baby Butterbean and my other little knives. Keeps things from banging around in my pockets and they are very well made.

Thanks, Tim. They don't get much better then what Jerry Halfrich makes. As close to perfect as any knife I've owned.

That’s kind of funny cause I literally just now finished a large.

A good Monday to y’all. I’m probably not going to do much except nothing today. ;) I’m going to clean up a couple of knives and oil the blades and joints etc. Probably won’t break a sweat! I’ve picked these three to have at hand today. I know some areas are loosening their restrictions, but I personally am planning to still keep my guard up! Please stay safe out there! :)

Harry, The Air Force pulled out a few decades ago with much of facility going to FAA. As technologies advanced it became obsolete and was abandoned with the property transferred to National Park Service. Almost everything was torn down a few years ago but still a bit of a mess where the facility was located. I remember you used to be able to see the two gigantic “gold balls” for miles.
I‘ve really been enjoying the Russlock...though I have nipped my thumb while fidgeting with the one handed opening more times than I’d like to admit.
In 1959 I was on a U.S. Army Long Range Acquisition Radar Site on top of the tallest hill North of the Golden Gate Bridge . It supported the missile batteries around San Francisco . Sometimes Mt. Tam did not agree with what we had on our radar . Your mentioning Mt. Tam brought back lots of memories of a time long ago .
