What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I've been trying to get all of my Cases posted on the Cases "old and new" thread and, incidentally, have been posting them here as I get time to tote and photo. I apologize to all y'all for the redundancy, but I only have so much time and I'm but one man. Breath easy, I'm about done.

A Case 64052 medium congress in jigged Appaloosa bone and a Case 6347HP large stockman in jigged green bone, both from 1978:

Menchev Puukko style in acid etched D2 and acacia burl with aged brass.

My favorite style of Queens, the Amber Carved Stag Bone covers. This one is a #63 Railsplitter stockman, I really like this knife. The top of the coping blade is quite sharp, but otherwise its very satisfying to use. Great, substantial feeling in the hand.

In 1959 I was on a U.S. Army Long Range Acquisition Radar Site on top of the tallest hill North of the Golden Gate Bridge . It supported the missile batteries around San Francisco . Sometimes Mt. Tam did not agree with what we had on our radar . Your mentioning Mt. Tam brought back lots of memories of a time long ago .

Harry

Harry, did you live in the barracks up on Mt Tam or did you commute up the hill from Hamilton AFB? Beautiful views from up there though it can get awfully foggy and windy at times.

Thanks a lot JJ :)

Morning folks, I actually remembered what day it was when I got up this morning, so opening a random knife box, I randomly picked this small IXL Serpentine Jack to accompany my Hartshead Barlow, and a FB from Brusletto of Norway ;)

CASE Half-Whittler with re-dyed bone using permanganate. This is a newer 2 spring model, formerly single-spring which was slimmer. The master opens out very smartly with no cant (drooping down) like this feature in a knife as cant mars the appearance of a knife. Assume you can fix it by filing away parts of the upper tang? But tedious & can fill the spring with metal filings...;)
