Morning folks, I actually remembered what day it was when I got up this morning, so opening a random knife box, I randomly picked this small IXL Serpentine Jack to accompany my Hartshead Barlow, and a FB from Brusletto of Norway ;)

Thank you JJ. A tip of the hat to the fire fighters who inspired this beautifully imaged knife.

Works of art my friend :)

Okay Harry! All I can say is “Thank You” my friend! Little did I know when I read your post this morning what the phrase “They just remind me that Very Nice Things sometimes come in Little Cardboard Boxes as if by Magic.” actually meant! You really floored me my friend!

When Pam went to get the mail she came back in the door and said, “You’ve got a package!”. The first thing I said was “I’m not expecting a package!”, then I asked who it was from. She told me it was from Collector Knives. I said that is Mike Latham’s @knifeswapper store. I was about to eat supper so I didn’t even open the package. That should show y’all that I’ve got my priorities straight, when I put food over a surprise package from a knife dealer!

After I had finished my meal I opened the package. When I saw the contents I immediately knew it was from Harry! Sure enough when I saw the packing slip it said from “Old Engineer”. Just about that time my phone rang. I looked and it was Harry calling. When I answered the call I could hear Harry laughing because he knew he had pulled one over on me!

Harry, I really appreciate the surprise and of course I will treasure it! Pam said it best when she stated that she was impressed with the knife, but she is more impressed with the people that sent it! I totally agree, you and Nancy are wonderful friends.

A couple Robeson electricians from before WWII; a walnut civilian and a cocobolo soldier. :)

Thank you for the kind words JJ, and thanks for reminding me what day is with that wonderful wood :D :)

I forgot to blow the mineral oil out of the joints of my knife last night and didn’t feel like firing up the compressor at 0500 so I just grabbed my back up beater from my work bag and on with the day we go. This is Bucks 303 from 2016. Bare bones plain Jane basic utility pocketknife. I really prefer the Camillus versions or the pre 2000 Bucks with the flat ground blades but this little knife will see me through the day without any issues. View attachment 1335076
