Stag Langres, Stephane Thomachot, France; desert ironwood lambsfoot, Jack Black SFO, England; Valox Buck 301 stockman, USA.

Nah... People that have early 70's Case knives know how well they were built.
Those that don't would only be offended without any basis of knowledge.... That's on them.
We all know how great GEC knives are, but not everybody has caught on to the early 70's Case knives yet.
I’ve just started dabbling in vintage Case and you couldn’t be more right!

Cigars or knives? Both

A couple of green bone Schrades for Saturday. :)
Thank you JJ. Dare I say it? Your finest arrangement yet. Great image. Love the bone color on the Schrade. Two handsome knives.

Thanks pal, artistic images, and I love that hat! :D
Thank you, Jack. Really love that Issard Violon.

I have a new favorite Opinel:thumbsup:
Thank you Jeff. Lovely trio. That’s a fine handmade fixed blade. Love the cover on the Camillus.

I was trying to decide between a Camillus 303 and Bose / Case cattle knife. While I was fiddling around with that decision I was tinkering and noticed that one of my prized still in the box Schrade 303 has developed a pair of scale cracks! Until just now I had 4 of these still new in box...now I have 3. At 54 years old it deserves to be taken out of the box carried some before it’s too late. So today I’m gonna make this my edc for a while. Pretty cool feeling to be the first to slip this amazing knife into a pocket!View attachment 1337178

No fishing today. Instead I’m walking through my neighbors woods looking for my Idaho Whitetail deer skull. I had it wired and zip tied to the base of a tree so the bugs could clean it off. Saw it on Sunday, gone on Wednesday. Figure either a coyote or raccoon made off with it, only after they broke some heavy wireo_O Had a couple of fence panels come down this winter so it gave them easy access to the back yard. Took my 66 with me to do some skinning if I found the culprits:D

Thought maybe this doe would lead me right to it, but apparently she wasn’t happy I’d harvested her long lost cousin:confused:

Gorgeous stag on your 38s, Harry. Have fun with those 1000 piece puzzles; I've heard anything over 500 is really difficult. Take a photo when you finish one. :):)

Thank you very much Dean. Much appreciated my friend .
I will post some pictures as you asked . WE have put together 2 of the 500 piece puzzles and 2 of the 1000 piece ones . We put one old puzzle together that was purchased in our old home town drug store that only cost $2.79 when new . We started on one of the new puzzles , the dog one , and the shape of most of the pieces is unlike any puzzle that I ever saw . I will post a picture later to show what I am talking about .

This is a a stunning knife. I hadn't seen one of these models before.

Thank you! These are very similar to the Camillus 72 pattern. They are essentially modified Medium Stockman knives; Main Clip blade on one spring and substitute a Coping blade for the Sheepfoot, and a short clip for the Spey or Pen secondary’s on the second spring and you have a Carpenters Whittler. A Whittler without the wedge or tapered liner between the springs. OH
