Welcome to the Porch! 70’s Case boredom is my favorite kind!View attachment 1337064 Not to be boring but I’m going with my 10 dot small jack again today. I have a bunch of these early 70’s Case folders in various jack patterns and this one is my favorite. It has everything going for it, the right size for pocket carry, perfectly matched jigged bone covers, strong blade pull without being a nail ripper, half stop, nice snap on the W/T, and my favorite blade profile, clip. All with the right amount of patina and wear.
Also I’m new here and will soon get onboard with the black Friday, stag Saturday, etc.. themes.
You know how I love a Stag Churchill! Great photo Gev!
Barlow days are good days. May carry mine tomorrow.![]()
Just felt like a barlow kinda day![]()
I had a friend who would do puzzles with the picture side down, said the picture makes it to easy
Thank you! These are very similar to the Camillus 72 pattern. They are essentially modified Medium Stockman knives; Main Clip blade on one spring and substitute a Coping blade for the Sheepfoot, and a short clip for the Spey or Pen secondary’s on the second spring and you have a Carpenters Whittler. A Whittler without the wedge or tapered liner between the springs. OH
That was a very busy day my friend . Pretty nice Stag for you today .I started on our deck at 8:30 this morning. It was in the 40’s but we made it okay. We stripped all the old railings off first. Then came the decking. We had a quick sandwich for lunch. We finished around 1:30. Then we had to cut all the wood to fit in my Silverado. I didn’t want to be on the road with12’ boards hanging out of a 6’ truck bed. The landfill closed at 3:00 but we managed to make it with a few minutes to spare. I’m almost too tired to post but I am!I’ve had my #43 Oregon Trapper in my pocket all day.
