What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I've been carrying this one since I got it Monday evening. Inspired (the purchase at least) by our TOTM thread.

Thanks, it's a lot bigger and heavier than what I usually carry, but it is a nice looking knife. The color is a good practical color for a trapper making it easy to see if dropped.

This old E.C. Simmons Keen Kutter today. It came to me with a broken blade---a lot of blade play on the blade that was still intact. I peened the pin, re-profiled what was left of the main blade and polished the blade and bolsters.

Just couldn't let this not see future use;)

That's a good rescue, Paul. I do like the ebony knives, and your Keen Kutter is a nice one. The sight of it may compel me to replace the Camillus in my pocket with the L.F. & C. jack. It just needs a little edge work before going into rotation.

That is my perfect blade combo, I've been looking for something like it, in a 3"-3 1/4", Very nice.

Would not be hard to make, if you had one with a fairly stout pen secondary. That is how I got a wharncliffe-like secondary on my old Colonial.

Well, it's only a tad over your requirement and it carries pretty small. Might be worth contacting John and seeing if he could scale it down some for you. I don't think you'd regret it.

Carrying this 3 1/2" Schrade/Kious collaboration today. I've had this one for about a decade and never gave it much pocket time. I like the thin Norris SS damascus blades. The bone is 50 (almost 60 now) years old. Bolsters and liners are nickel silver.

Gary, is that a "reverse Congress"? Really, really nice.

Yes. They called the pattern a reverse Congress. I really do like this knife and it's going to get some regular pocket time, now that I have rediscovered it.

That is an awesome Gunstock Elliott!!! Wow! :D

 Elliott, all I can say about that gunstock is WOW!!

Thanks, guys. John deserves all the credit for that one...I was very pleasantly surprised by how much the knife resonated with my personal taste for pattern, steel and blade selection. The covers are some of the nicest dyed stag I've seen.
