My new favorite 301 is still covered in mineral oils so decide to give my newest 307 it’s shake down cruise. This one is from our friend Lance and she’s a real beauty. Couple minor blems on the main but otherwise factory fresh from the mid 80’s. Might have to change that. I’ve thought lately about actually putting a 307 into service for yard work days and big grilling/smoking events and this one is just the beast to do it. View attachment 1377208

Our pup is a Catahoula crossed with an Idaho Shag. Hopefully it will be a good cattle dog, we’ll see. He seems pretty good so far.

Very cute puppy, John. These cattle breeds are the best. They are so smart and eager to please. It’s going to be a surprise what mine ends up looking like. There’s a lot of variety in the breeds that he has in him. He’s also driving my two border collies crazy.

He likes to sun himself on our deck while I play with my knives. My wife thinks we're both nuts!
