I think it was Black Mamba who said so. He could tell by the rare SCC+ tang stamp. Once you know, you can see the regular pins through the bolsters.

It was just for 2 or 3 years around 1980, IIRC. I should write more stuff down, except I'd just lose the notes.

Never heard of pickling them either.

Chestnuts are a rare treat to find in the stores down here, and they aren't very fresh by the time they get here. (sometimes moldy inside. )

I deliberately bought the drop-point Russlock because I didn't want to spend money on a blade that looks like it will wear out before I do (I know, but my soul needs frequent applications of flattering unctions).
