Got the day off, no deer but better than work.![]()
Orange and Black are in the air today in preparation for Halloween - Halloween Eve so to speak !!! The only trip I'm making today is to the mailbox so nothing heavy is in order. This "L'il" Sod Buster Jr. will handle anything that pops up on the way up to and the way back from the mailbox.

I didn't know you could eat chestnuts raw.
Never heard of pickling them either.
Chestnuts are a rare treat to find in the stores down here, and they aren't very fresh by the time they get here. (sometimes moldy inside.)
At least it feels like Fall today.

Weird choice for a kid, but sounds darn delicious to me.cod and salmon with asparagus and rice.
Love the colors in that one.
Indeed. That is a good looking knife.
Well to be fair he initially asked for rice AND mac&cheese to go with the asparagus and fish (he loves fish), but we made him choose between the two heavy starches.Weird choice for a kid, but sounds darn delicious to me.

Nice SAK Dean and that fob is pretty cool
Sounds like a healthy gourmet meal for a seven year old! Great choices!Thank you, fellows!
We always let the kid whose birthday it is request a special meal. This year Ezra wants cod and salmon with asparagus and rice. Good choices, right!?
Thanks! Just got it.Wow! That is a gorgeous Sodbuster, Scott.

Thanks! It's ivory re-cycled from old piano key veneers. (guilt free, in my opinion)I didn't know you can eat them raw either. We either cook them or roast and drink young whine (federweisser) with them. Pickled mushrooms are great, especially the kind I found today although not everyone likes them, because they can be a bit slimey.
Nice carey choices! What is the scale material on the smaller jack?
