Orange and Black are in the air today in preparation for Halloween - Halloween Eve Day so to speak !!! The only trip I'm making today is to the mailbox so nothing heavy is in order. This "L'il" Sod Buster Jr. will handle anything that pops up on the way up to and the way back from the mailbox.

Your Davison is a real treasure and your photo background is appropriate for the blade, Jack.

Got the day off, no deer but better than work.

Some worried that the black plum color on these GEC Mustang trappers would be a bit too much, but it is a very subtle color. In fact, I had to try lots of of different photo locations just to tease out a tiny bit of color. It mostly looks blackish. The dark color works well with this jigging pattern as well. Of course, the fit and finish is just about perfect. You could not find a better every day tote. Nearly custom quality for under $100. Amazing.

I didn't know you could eat chestnuts raw.

Never heard of pickling them either.

Chestnuts are a rare treat to find in the stores down here, and they aren't very fresh by the time they get here. (sometimes moldy inside. :()

At least it feels like Fall today.

I didn't know you can eat them raw either. We either cook them or roast and drink young whine (federweisser) with them. Pickled mushrooms are great, especially the kind I found today although not everyone likes them, because they can be a bit slimey.

Nice carey choices! What is the scale material on the smaller jack?

Hope everyone has had a good week :) Here in Leeds, England, we're due to go into a higher level of lockdown after the weekend - I knew this Coronavirus would end in tiers! o_O Carrying my trusty Hartshead Barlow again today, and an Old Friend in the form of my Todd Davison Sheepsfoot :) Have a great weekend folks

Thanks! It's ivory re-cycled from old piano key veneers. (guilt free, in my opinion)

Chestnuts make me nostalgic for a trip I took to Italy with my mother 20 years ago. We often bought bags of them roasted and hot from street vendors. It wasn't always easy to find vegan food options for her when we got hungry walking around, and chestnuts were good and filling.
