What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This week, my Alox knife of the week, a Vic Secretary (thanks, Ken), and my non-Alox SAK of the week, a Pocket Pal, are very similar:

I know, ammo prices have gotten ridiculous.
Short story... I gave my best friend a Ruger .45 Colt many years ago. Many times when I'd visit him, he'd pull it out and we'd admire it. I often teased him that I was going to steal it back. Shortly after he passed away I took his kids trap shooting and they presented me with his pistol, saying he'd want me to have it back. We all fired a round through it and kept the brass as a memento of the occasion.

I’m not a gun guy, nothing against guns, just not my jam, but that is a great story, thanks for sharing it!

My Great Grandson has dibs on that top one. ;)
I'll put directions in my will to the time capsule. :p
Can I just be put in my canoe, set on fire, and pushed out in the lake? Head in a jar creeps me out.
It's supposed to be creepy! It's an old inside joke with my brother. After reading lots of science fiction stories, and watching the way our existence is more and more 'virtual', we imagined telling stories to the young folks. Instead of: "I remember when shoes cost a nickel and we used to walk to school in the snow." We'd say, "Remember when we weren't all just brains in jars? We had legs to carry our brains from place to place. Twenty quatloos on the newcomer!" If you ever want to read a very interesting and creepy story, read The Machine Stops by E.M. Forster. Written in 1909, it predicts certain aspects of our modern world. (like the fact that I'm typing these words for you to read, anywhere in the world, rather than going outside to meet people face to face)

And by the way, it is the independence day of Finland today. Because of covid 19 most people are celebrating it in their own homes, as I am with my family.
Happy Independence Day!
Thank you my friend :) That stile looked like it had been in a dangerous state for a long time o_O I wish I'd taken photos
If you were in the US, you'd have a lawyer taking those pictures right now.
Get some rest, and I hope your back fully recovers.

That red bone is fantastic and you did a great job of bringing back the blade.
