What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Today I continue with this past week's mandate of carrying something other than the #62. I may need to send it to paulhilborn paulhilborn because I can't for the life of me get it shaving sharp. It has a funky almost chisel like bevel (under a loupe) from the factory (never sharpened or carried before yesterday). It laughed at my modest Lansky stones...:( It is "sharp" in one sense but not "sharp as a dickens".

More old quotes. In an attempt to get caught up, I'm trying to pick just one post from each page to quote, but sometimes my self-control disappears.
Superb pair, Greg, but if we're voting, I prefer the gnarly gnife!:cool:;)

Thanks, Gary. :) Gotta agree with ya, the stag one is pretty special to me.

As nice as the new 35's were for the last Northwoods run, I have to say I prefer the first run. This pattern is much better (in my opinion) without the half stop. IRJ back in the drawer and the forum knife version in the pocket for today ;)

I love the bone and everything else about those forum harness jacks, including the lack of half stops. You have a good looking one there, Mike.
I have the ebony covered version of that knife and opening and closing action and feel of the blades is so smooth. I think they are perfect HJ's.:)

Just a jaw-dropping job on rejuvenating that jack, Paul!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks Gary, I get a lot of enjoyment reworking an old knife and putting it back into service:) I enjoyed hearing of your once a year Christmas tree jacket, on a somber note my father had what he called his Funeral Suit and the inside pocket had all the pamphlets from many funerals:( I like the Christmas jacket of yours a lot more;)
