What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Man, that's a nice jack, Jason. I remember when Ken was building that one.

(And better yet, I can still remember when Ken thought the idea of building a standard style jack was kinda boring. My how things have changed. ;))

Thank you sir! He did a fantastic job! That Remington pattern is one of my favorites and my Grandfather carried the one I sent him to look at.

He did it and your grandfather's memory proud!

@Sarah...here's some blue jigged bone on a knife the late Rob Simonich built and gave me as a gift when visiting him up in Clancy, MT (Old pic and the blue is not as vibrant as it should show up.)

Thanks ~P. looks great... Mini Copperhead was my first thougt - I really like the wharnie mainblade. It appeals great to the light swung in the handle :)

Very interesting, thanks! What's its length?

If I could do this over, I would dilute the dye more. I was concerned about the color not being saturated enough, when that wasn't a problem at all. It looks classy overall, and the blue shows up well in the right light, but I'd like it even better if the blue were just a little bit more obvious under other lighting conditions.

@ Sarah...blade is about 3 1/8" to the start of the bone, about 6 3/4" OAL. (Concealex neck sheath.)

I have the first one he ever built in D2 and carbon fiber for normal carry as it's lighter than the bone/talonite combo.

Thanks for the additional information-- they all look the same length in isolated photographs. ;)

Yours is a nice size.

I get that a lot. (Alrighty then...moving right along...)

Jack's speechless!!! (And I did it! Mark this day down. :p)

(Frank and Gary, my apologies and feel free to remove or delete my posts. I won't be upset in the least...but it was beyond my ability to resist such a setup.)

How the mighty have fallen.

:p

Or, given current currents elsewhere, perhaps exhausted their restraint in more needed venues?

Thanks pinnah -- I'm liking it very much since getting back from GEC. Normally I would have gone for natural stag but the burnt worked for me on this one.

I'm not sure that knife could have a bad picture taken of it.

Just totally grooving on that blade.

That's very nice -- love the conversion -- lovely wood!

Off work and my wife and I are going to look at a house, never thought this day would come. These are my carry for the rest of the day.

Best of luck on the house Kris, and what Elliott said on that fine Remington Jack! After 6 months of it being in TN my sweet heart stag 47 is back with me; sure missed it!
