What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

All I needed today.

I taught courses for the U.S Dept of Defense in many different places - one was Germany. Students that worked for DoD around Europe, whether U.S. or local employees, that needed my class traveled there to take it. The class had to do with destroying weapon systems (rather obscure topic). And that is how I taught the Italian students in Germany. :)

As a side note to our language conversation, I once had students from 8 different countries in my Germany class. Before the class, I asked the various students how to say 'Good Morning' in their language. Then I greeted them in their own language for the rest of the week.

Thank you for the kind comment about my Case Teardrop (obligatory knife content).
That sounds like a very interesting life Dean .

I enjoy having a fixed blade on the belt when able, spent the day in the shop away from the public so I could 'open carry' today as I pleased. :D
GEC H10 and a RR Stockman.

Nice combo Greg, love the H10. I relate to what you said about open carry a fixed blade. I enjoy it as well. I have a favorite from Jarrett Fleming that when the job at hand requires a fixed blade that's the one I defer to. Best example was up on our store roof painting our store sign. The plastic letters had paint splotches on them and the Fleming simply worked better than any other tool, razor blade, paint scraper etc... Just to draw from the sheath and return was so easy and quite enjoyable:) The nice thing is open carry is not odd in our small town at all, especially when you consider Deer opener a holiday:D

Saw some banter on this thread yesterday, so go Bucs!View attachment 1485264

I don't have a clue what it's about, but I enjoy the banter! :D ;)

Two GEC totes for today with four different blades; very handy. :)

Looks like you've got everything covered there my friend, and in fine style :)

Thank you very much, Jack!!!

Nice slingshot you fashioned with your Hartshead; your old metal camper is a classic companion, looks like fun!:D:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks a lot JJ, I enjoy both making and using slingshots :)

Superb example  Always liked this pattern because it's sleek, the blades lie low in the frame and they're a useful selection. I suppose certain types might disapprove of it as not being 'traditional' enough by having unconventional blades  Did they question the Wharncliffe Trapper that the late Tony Bose came up with?;) That hadn't been 'done before or seen in the catalogues...'

Would be nice if GEC were to make a mini version though, say 3 3/8" or 3.5 "

Sharing and Carrying some Porch generosity today...
I made a trade with Harry Old Engineer Old Engineer , one of my pocket slips for one of his old Barlow knives. I chose the old Camillus of course. But Harry being the generous person we all know he is, also sent me my second choice... the old Keen Kutter. On top of that he gifted me the Large Case Texas Jack, which I absolutely LOVE!!! Thank you Harry and i will enjoy each one of these a whole bunch.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Very nice :) Well done gents

Yes they are!
The reason I cut the kiwi’s in half is because you can use a spoon to go around just inside the skin to get the edible part out without having to peel it. If you haven’t tried it, do a search for it online. Works pretty good.
That is how I open up avocados. Cut in half lengthwise around the slingshot ammo in the middle, scoop the green goodness out with a spoon.
Kiwis, I just eat like an apple. The skin won’t hurt you. But I eat apples, cores and all, so...o_O:D
I have these in my pockets today :

Used the Farmers Jack to open up the box that contained this late Christmas Gift from my Wife .

Beautiful!:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
I think Mrs Engineer treats you well, my friend.

294 pattern made by Schrade? Gorgeous.
Great old Schrade!
I think, which my wife says is how the trouble starts, I see an “a” after the “Sh”, so I was gonna guess Shapleigh.?
