What kind of watch is that? I'm a watch guy and that's a classy one
As for today, I'm bumming around the house. Literally. I'm carrying nothing, except my watch and my cell phone. I did use a traditional grill (Weber) and traditional charcoal (Kingsford) to cook some traditional chow (ribeye) bought from a traditional occupation (butcher) with traditional thriftiness (buying by the primal really helps-- 6.73lbs of choice ribeye for $40.)

Thanks, Its a simple Dugena.
Dugena stands for "Deutsche Uhrmacher-Genossenschaft Alpina" and was founded 1917, adopted the name around '41 I think. They moved to Darmstadt after WW2. Don't know who owns them now.

Peter,

Very classy. Is that what a gentlemen in the 1940s would be carrying? The newspapers back then brought better news than today's.

Thats was kinda the look I was going for yesterday:

Trenchcoat à la Rick(Casablanca)
Hat(don't leave the house without one)
No cell
The black leather notebook (served as a wallet at the same time)
I spend the better part of 2 hours sitting in a café, observing the world around me, reading the paper, and having a cigarette now and than.
(I had my 40s style zippo in the pocket.)

ps: that fountain pen is inked with Sailor blue-black.

Good ink...
But what is the pen and with what nib?

It's a Globe d'Or 'Gold and Black' piston filler with a left-foot oblique broad italic gold nib with moderate flex.

I'm still carrying the same, including the trenchcoat, but today I switched to a Lamy Safari with a fine steel nib inked with the missing-pen.de exclusive Noodler's Prussian blue.
