Good luck with your first shot Jack. Great to hear so many of you all getting your shots! I’ve said it before, but it really does give you some piece of mind.

Boy , is that ever true for me . We feel much easier about going out and about now that we have both of our shots . I am happy to hear that @Jack Black is getting his first shot .

My first half whittler. So far, a decent knife, very pocket friendly. Current Case practice of tumbling obviates the need to buy "pocket worn" style. I must say, I miss the days of lightly buffed Case knives.

I was getting ready to ask you when we would see some patina on that thing! Couple days without patina must be your personal record haha. I usually stare at my new knives for 3-4 days before I take the plunge. Much prefer the look with patina, but it is fun to fiddle around with a brand new knife for a few days.

Today a RR Coal Miner with the logo rubbed off the blade (1500 wet'n'dry). Liking this one a lot, wish I could get it in carbon..............

Yup, a custom by @Stacy E. Apelt - Bladesmith that I got from @Gary W. Graley a while back. It's really neat, Stacy took actual watch gears and shaped them to the curve of the pen then set them in epoxy.

Here are a couple walking poles that I made about ten years ago.

We'll be leaving shortly for our first real "walk" of the season as a lot of the snow has melted over the past couple days.
Hoping we find some trail clear enough of ice and snow to let us walk comfortably for a while.
I am bringing the birch pole as the area we are going is infested with Sasquatch
