What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

dB1ZhGV.jpg

Today a RR Coal Miner with the logo rubbed off the blade (1500 wet'n'dry). Liking this one a lot, wish I could get it in carbon..............
That is a solid knife, I use mine for cutting dry wall, works great and sharpens right up.

It's nice to see a patina on one of these.:thumbsup: I bought a big bag of mandarin oranges, so I'll get there soon.

You sure will. Half of that patina was from making Tom Collins's for my girlfriend. It's a surprisingly enjoyable knife. Everyone who sees it loves the gold sparklie.

Yup, a custom by @Stacy E. Apelt - Bladesmith that I got from @Gary W. Graley a while back. It's really neat, he took actual watch gears and shaped them to the curve of the pen then set them in epoxy.

DANG that is cool! Gary is a delight, and I was already impressed with his work prior to this. That is so unique and well done!

Wednesday afternoon and I haven't posted ANY of the knives I started carrying for the week on Monday! :(
Guess I'll start with the 4 categories I post first most weeks: an Alox SAK, a non-Alox SAK, a bailed non-SAK, and an international knife (from someplace other than Switzerland).
Smooth red Alox Secretary (thanks, Ken):

Imperial Kamp King that I bought a year ago Sunday, after which the world went crazy. The Kamp King actually helped me keep my sanity as the pandemic took center stage a year ago this week by allowing me to participate in a GAW that Mike Crazy Canuck Crazy Canuck sponsored back then. A Laguiole my daughter gave me for Christmas in 2018. She bought it in Toledo, Spain, but I'm quite sure it's an Martinez Albainox import from China. Good, solid knife, though, and she's my daughter!:thumbsup::)

That is one of my favorites among your Barlows, Dean, with that small script on the bolster!:cool::thumbsup: (Although I'm starting to suspect that the most recent Barlow you've posted is my temporary favorite.)

Thank you, Gary. I feel the same way; except for my Ancient 2.0 (my favorite), my end favorite Barlow is the one I am carrying.

Cool pic Dean :)

Going for my first Covid shot today, armed with my AC Lambsfoot :)

Thank you, Jack; I hope your first shot worked out well (you probably have the usual arm pain though). That is a great looking Lambsfoot and also a neat photo!

How time goes on! Considering at that time, we weren't sure what tomorrow would look like, and now it's a whole year later! Thanks for the reminder GT. Fun to go through that thread again :)

A new hiking stick?
CelloDan CelloDan needs one of those to defend himself against Sasquatch. :D

Would you believe it that with all my talk in the previous post of bringing the birch walking stick to our walk I forgot it home ?

Surely enough, we were attacked by a hoard of Sasquatchs, but lucky enough for us I was carrying my trusty lambsfoot
