What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Carrying my Case medium stockman with punch for the week ahead. Finally got the blades reprofile and it's time to earn some patina.

Also picked up this Cold Steel Lucky One for a good price to see if I enjoy modern traditionals as much. Very light weight and thin blade stock with a decent steel. Completely different character.

The Boker Barlow Expedition has been "boxed" for a while. Need to see if Barlows are going to become my main pocket knives.

For this coming week - Case Bose Pocket Worn Whiskey Bone Tribal Lock as main, with the black Alox Cadet still on key ring duty. Will probably carry one of my green-handled knives on Wednesday.

Grabbed these two Imperial Scouts for my Sunday totes. :)
Nicely captured image of a couple of handsome scout knives, JJ. :thumbsup: One of my younger brothers, although not a knife collector, still has all his gear from his scouting days in the 70's. He is the only one of my 5 siblings that hung on to most of his childhood stuff. Wish I had kept some of my childhood possessions like he did, (like my scout knife), just for nostalgia's sake.:)

Thanks a lot, Greg! I started hunting for old Scout knives several years back as, I too, had not held on to my stuff from those days. :)

The seller on the big auction site advertised this 825 Stainless Schrade as having bone handles with no cracks. He was wrong on both counts. @jsdistin recovered it in ironwood for me. Keen Kutter etch on one side and Razor Blade Stainless etch on the other side.
That was a blessing in disguise because now it is absolutely stunningly beautiful!!

Funny, like you guys I have tried to somehow find what I lost. I had kept some stuff and other stuff disappeared. I kept my old Cub Scout and Boy Scout shirts but my knives got passed down to younger brothers as did most of my camping gear. I found this Imperial BSA pocketknife at an off post junk store near Camp Dodge Iowa about 23 years ago, that was the first time I started “reacquiring” lost BSA items. The pocketknife is not like the one I had in that my Scout knife had brown handles and a round emblem, not black handles with a shield emblem, but it was close and it was $5 bucks and the action is great. The shirt was mine and is just as it was when I last wore it in 1969/70. OH

:cool::thumbsup: Good stuff, Bruce.

It was actually really nice looking jigged delrin. I would have been happy with it except for the cracks. The seller did give me half the sale price back so it wasn’t all bad.
For this reason I would never buy another knife on fleabay .Like you I got bit one time and that was enough.

Sadly, I'm here to report that the garage is not going to clean itself, so, I spend much of Sunday doing just that... but after that, I did get to play a bit. Practiced a bit with my Woodcraft, flint, and steel. And my son caught another lizard (young Western Fence)... which we let go because we have enough.
