What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Happy Sunday all.

Last night my blade deleted 23 came back to me. Y’all might think I’m weird, but I had the drop point removed so now I have this massive Spey in a much thinner, lighter, pocket friendly frame.

It’s absolutely perfect and my “favorite knife I don’t (can’t easily) carry” will turn into “my favorite knife I carry”.

Cheers to the masterful ‘GB’ for his flawlessly outstanding work.

Not weird at all, it’s a fantastic blade and it IS a food prep monster! Looks great. GB does great work!:thumbsup:

The seller on the big auction site advertised this 825 Stainless Schrade as having bone handles with no cracks. He was wrong on both counts. @jsdistin recovered it in ironwood for me. Keen Kutter etch on one side and Razor Blade Stainless etch on the other side.
I’m convinced there’s an abay category called “delrin bone”.

Ironwood looks better.

Your attitude about Barlows is good to have when you have so many nice ones, Dean! ;):cool::cool:

Thanks for the kind remarks about the red Alox Secretary, Dean & Gus. :) I found some info online about using tang stamps to date Pioneers, but determining an age range for that Secretary doesn't seem as easy. I'm provisionally going with pre-1975, but that's definitely subject to revision as I find more Victorinox tang stamp info.

Splendid knife, Dean! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Thank you, Gary.

On a 10-point scale, both 10s, Dean; the blue mini copperhead could well be an 11! :thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

She seems hardly old enough to be a fan of Asimov, but I'll have to see if I can work it into a conversation sometime. ;)
That boy's knife is a stunner, Dean! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, again Gary.

Regarding Bliss and Asimov. I saw a channel on Youtube by a young fella about Foundation. He had an amazing amount of details about the books, the overall universe of Foundation and a lot of enthusism about the topic. I try not to underestimate the young; they often amaze me. I also try not to overestimate the young as they often amaze me. :):D:eek:
