What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Hope it's a wonderful day, Jack.

I absolutely LOVE that knife.

Handsome pair of Bokers.

Dean, I don't know if you remember that I got 2 of those Uncle Henry medium stock knives almost simultaneously. ;) The one I posted was a user that I'd traded for from another BF member, and then the surprise NIB gift from you. The model definitely speaks to me as well!
Here's a photo I enjoy, showing the difference some use can make to the patina of the backsprings:

That's a shapely knife, Dean! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

Thanks, Dean. :)
Your 47 looks superb in the spring sunshine!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thank you for your comments, Gary. The patina on the backsprings is a neat contrast with the stainless blades on the Uncle Henry USA knives. I have two of the 897 with patina and one still new (unused) in box. I don't think I'll use them up in my lifetime. :D

What a great selection of carries today

Thanks Rachel, only one more day I'm afraid :( ;) It doesn't seem like long since I turned 50, and that still sounds old! :D ;)

Happy Birthday tomorrow! Or maybe its already tomorrow where your at, in which case Happy Birthday today :)
I turned 60 last year and you're right: It seems like I turned 50 only a couple of years ago. Hopefully the 60's will go as well as the 50's ;)

I carry today this A.Wright & Son Lamb foot in green bone.;)

Interesting bone Jose  Don't think I've seen it before.

Happy Monday All.
Love the thing behind the knife even if I don't know what the thing is :p

Carrying the LS Slim again. I continue to be impressed with it :)

I haven't been on much in the last few days. My son was born on the 26th (Friday) so obviously things have been pretty busy. I finally got a chance to admire all the pictures that have been posted.
I took this picture last week when we thought my wife would be induced. The peanut has been with me for the past couple of weeks.

I don't know. I was told the carbon steel version was dropped in 1984 ... or was it 1986 ... yeah ... 1986. My 858OT as only made for 6 years, 1978 to 1984. Sorry I got them mixed up. :( , and the three pin was 1990's to the closure in 2004.

I did correct the original post. :)

No worries, it can be tough to keep it straight. I’m not 100% sure 79-81 is correct for the 7OT first release but it’s the best information I’ve found and I’ve found it from different sources. I guess I’m as sure as I can be.
The thread I linked for you in the Schrade forum a few days ago with the dates and info from Codger I’m pretty sure is spot on. At least I can’t find anything credible to dispute it.
At any rate my researching USA made Schrade 6OT’s, 7OT’s and LB7’s the last few days has motivated me to acquire one of each to keep my LB8 company. My wife’s going to be thrilled I’m sure. ;)
