What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks Jack. It's a beauty.. what do you think of the potential 2021 BladeForums knife that Charlie has posted?

I think it looks very impressive Alan :) Maybe it'd look even better with a nice swedged traditional Spearpoint, perhaps a match-strike pull, but @Pàdruig was saying GEC already made a Northwoods version with a Spearpoint, and it looks pretty good with that big Clip anyway :) Kudos to Charlie, and to @gunstockjack :)

I've got these two Barlows with me today. :)

And two fabulous Barlows they are JJ! :)

Exactly! I think you'd like it, Jack. The author writes well--he's a gifted storyteller, so it's a joy to read. There is so much going on in the book beyond (but related to) the Carson biographic details.

I'll have to pick up a copy my friend, and add it to the pile of books, towering above my bed, waiting to be read! They include half a dozen books on Western history, the most recent of which is this one

My vintage Sheffield made Rowbothan twin blade one of the best built knifes I have found from that era.
The Paramo vice links back to WW2 when we where being bombed in England, they set up another works for vices etc besides the better known Record works in case one was taken out.
I use my stuff so like used knifes mostly,I was building a bench and vice for my shed.
The pencil was from my days in the army, they even stamped every sheet of the loo roll government property as if anyone would nick it it was like grease proof paper sharp and wrinkly.

That's a timeless beauty of a stag covered Lamb!!! Have fun with those Old West books; my second undergrad major advisor was the king of the Old West, quite an awesome series of classes! :D:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

I need to put my own edge on this Navy knife and make it's new home at the end of key chain. Took me forever to realize I needed one of these knives

Nothing like that old Colt’s Patent Fire Arms Royal Blue!

Nice little bit of history, and I totally relate to using knives and leaning toward older ones.
