What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

This one has been getting the job done lately

The 6318 seemed like the perfect knife for church this morning. My three year old wasn’t in the mood to sit through a sermon on Daniel, so I’m currently in an empty Sunday School classroom with him.

Good Dad. My son is going theough that with his two year old. Her five year old big brother was used to Sunday school before the virus, and quite enthused about going back. But lil sis refused to be dropped off.

Sometimes, you have to read the writing on the wall (get that Daniel reference?) and be a patient Dad.

Took my daughter to the Kane County Fleamarket. Tried to talk Mom into going, but she had some quotes she had to get out~ some day off!

I love a big fleamarket! Lots of walking, very little spending, Saw very few pocket knives, virtually all were junk. I saw a 25OT Schrade folding hunter with both blades broken, and an absolutelty beat TL-29. Lots of good deal on old tools, though.
Here’s my modest haul. I seem to have misplaced the Zippo my late son carried in A’stan :( , so I picked up another for $10. And two files, both old Nicholsons. One is a nice wedge shape I can use, the big mill file has potential to become a knife.
We did visit the lady who sells dog chews. She had a ton of elk antlers (for knife handles, of course) but her prices were insane.

I think this pandemic has been detrimental to American’s phyisical conditioning. People need to get out and exercise! Speaking of that, my legs are tired. :)

and... a wonderful Sunday nite to all:thumbsup:
Not only showing remarkable jigging-depth/colour but also an interesting use of a tip bolster as an end-cap. Could you say something more about it please? Size, approx age etc.

A fine Sunday night with that around the house or just to look at.

Regards, Will

Yes, putting those down is not as simple as it seems. Beautiful as always Harry!

Thank you Will!
These stamps place this Robeson Jack (626765 model) roughly between 1900 - 1920, it’s 3” 5/16s in length. The main’s length has been just a tad shortened over time, yet the pen’s is quite full. Smooth action, pulls and wonderful to peer at while relaxing... another difficult separation, glaringly awaits me. On occasion I will carry it though, just as pocket candy.

Chores are done...
Mowed, trimmed, blew, and planted.
Of course the Lambsfoot gets the call for any real work.
Time to throw a tri-tip on the grill, crack open a beer, and watch a movie... Gotta love Saturdays.
Sounds like a perfect day. Hiking with the dog, power tools, beer, beef, and a movie. What more could you need?
Didn’t fish for long, I think we are still a few warm days away, but did catch a few. Nothing to brag about, that’s for sure!😂 They are thick though. I remember when I was a kid, this would have been a lunker bluegill, and the crappie were paper thin.

That also looks like a great day. Any fish on a fly rod is a good one to me. I need to find some time to get out to the bass pond.

I’m carrying this one today. I went to the skatepark this morning with the kids.
