I guess this looks excessive to some people, I don’t know...
SAK in left pocket, peanut in that little guitar pick sized pocket, and a couple more in the right pocket. That leaves my belt on the right side open for a fixed blade knife or pruning shears. Or both.
And a Leatherman Tool, of course. On my belt.

So, anyhow, have an excessively good day!

Couple of canoes this week, Uncle Henry and Marbles. The Staglon covers on the Chinese 11UH sure aren't as nice looking as the old Staglon from Schrade USA on the stockman at the bottom of this post!

Couple of stockman knives this week, too: a Rough Rider stag sowbelly stockman and a Schrade USA 897UH medium stockman (thanks, Dean).

Thanks a bunch, my friend. :)

Thank goodness one of our members posted up the DLT Exclusive in the Case thread. 🤠
Just reread that post, it was supposed to say “toned” down!😂😂😂

Nice looking knives Gary, I have the Marbles Ram’s Horn Barlow, nicely made.👍

Jack, it's good to see that you're doing your part to relieve historic tensions between Britain and France by simultaneously carrying your stag HHB and your Douk-Douk!:thumbsup: ;)
Merci GT, c'est le entente cordiale! ;) :D
Nice photo :)
Finally reached home safely after a 26 days trip. 😌

Cultural shock : melon tester vs lard knife (Hungarian szalonnazó)

The last time I bought half a hog, back in the ‘80s, I rendered the fat and ended up with a cast iron dutch oven of lard. Best thing on earth for baking and frying.
Lard got a lot of hate from the health industry, but that may be changing. We are learning that carbohydrates are the real culprit in causing serum cholesterol, and the industrial chemicals in fat substitutes are worse than the animal fats.
I digress...

But when you render lard, you end up with a rather large hunk, so I think that blade shape would be perfect for cutting it up into usable chunks.
