Friday... where, what...!!

And if ya know what’s good for ya, don’t argue!
Haha! I worked with some people who referred to Thursday as "Little Friday" because they got very little work done on actual Friday. ;) I guess it's not a common expression.
I guess this looks excessive to some people, I don’t know...
SAK in left pocket, peanut in that little guitar pick sized pocket, and a couple more in the right pocket. That leaves my belt on the right side open for a fixed blade knife or pruning shears. Or both.View attachment 1567441
And a Leatherman Tool, of course. On my belt.

So, anyhow, have an excessively good day!
Excessive is a relative term. There are probably folks that think carrying more than one knife is excessive, but I doubt many of them hang out on knife forums. :p
Good-looking pair Rachel :)
Thanks, Jack.

The last time I bought half a hog, back in the ‘80s, I rendered the fat and ended up with a cast iron dutch oven of lard. Best thing on earth for baking and frying.
Lard got a lot of hate from the health industry, but that may be changing. We are learning that carbohydrates are the real culprit in causing serum cholesterol, and the industrial chemicals in fat substitutes are worse than the animal fats.
I digress...

But when you render lard, you end up with a rather large hunk, so I think that blade shape would be perfect for cutting it up into usable chunks.
I've been wanting to do that for a while now.... I'm still looking for a local place to buy pork leaf fat.... and the cracklins would be a bonus, right? :D

I learned something today! I can check that off my to do list ;)
Wonder if that relates to the old saying that you should never buy a car built on a Friday or Monday... On Friday they’re starting the weekend early, and on Monday, they’re hungover.

That’s the only time I’ve even preferred an electric stove over gas. Put on the lowest heat, and just leave it for a few days.
Make friends with a farmer.

In England, years ago, there was Saint Monday! ;) The Sheffield cutlers were particularly observant, with the practice continuing at least until the 1980's, and with some cutlers even worshipping Saint Tuesday and Saint Wednesday! :D ;)
