What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Pulled out these two thirties thrifty slicers by Hammer Brand/Imperial for a bit of edge honing. :)

Nicely maintained old Imperials, JJ!!
Got to agree with Charlie, those two are in tip-top condition JJ  :)
Gnarly old Robeson, rescued about 15 years ago, holds a righteous edge!! Today's Joy!!

I carried a brace of Ancient Barlows on my hike today. First photos are in/at an 1885 covered bridge, then a group photo. (Can you find the Cicadas?

Eclectic trio GT :)
It is. So good that I may be carrying it for a long time. It's pretty close to perfection for what I want in a daily carry.
I always have one in my bag Frank, sometimes in my pocket :)

Have a fine Friday folks ;) Carrying one of my Bagpipe Ebony Lambsfoot SFOs today, and an Old Friend by George Wostenholm :)

Those are nice long sausages Alain! 😋 Nice knife too
Thank you Jack! Hungary softly enters XXIst cent. Now I can use Paypaul to get food from Hungary, nearly each town has a local sausage. I'm probably biased, but there are no real equivalent, chorizo is an acceptable substitute but lacks the home factor 😉.
The knife is intended to cut lard and is razor sharp. the new 89 is also a good slicer.

There were only two shops selling hungarian products (H is almost unknown here, most confuse Bucarest and Budapest!) one closed for a long time now, and I don't always find what I want. I searched on the Internet and noticed there are much more in England, but they did not want to bother sending abroad even pre -Brexit 😏 .
Maybe things are more difficult in a way than in the other. Several British friends told me like you do, but I recently ordered a lounge pant in England without any fuss. Taxes apply only over 150€ packages (as long as you stay away from UPS and Fedex!).

Last night was date night with the wife, so I traded out the work carries for a good steak cutter. It had no issue making short work of this filet.

Added a nice steak patina as well:

I haven't decided what to carry yet today, but shall soon enough. I'm off work until Tuesday, so of course my three year old son got up at 5:15.

That steak and patina look fantastic! 👍 Oh how I remember those early mornings. 😊

There is a good Hungarian food-stall in the market when I go over to nearby Huddersfield, which I like., but I just had a look online, and it seems there is more Hungarian food available locally than I had realised :) Let me know if I can ever send you anything over Alain, and I'll try and find it  The threshold for taxes and import fees is much lower here unfortunately :(
