Fantastic image of you Bagpipe Ebony Lamb beauty; awesome French Ivory covers on your Old Friend, too!

Big at 5 1/8", but light, Opinel calls it a Harvest #10!! I thought I'd try it today, along with my tiny, little, wee Barlow!!
Schrade U.S.A. 881Y in backpack and the A. Wright Lambs foot jack (with spear) in my pocket for a hopefully short Friday leading into the long weekend...be safe and enjoy your time and respectful memories for our brave ones that gave everything so that we can live the lives we live today and hpefully for a long time to come! Cheers people!
(p.s. large Spyderco Emerson wave backing my traditionals in right pocket😬)
Some might call it confirmation bias, but I don’t care. I love to see other folks tote knives that I have and love.

waynorth waynorth ~ Charlie, I mangled the multiquotes, and mixed them all up.
This reply was aimed at you and your big #10...

I bought the #10 specifically for harvesting greens at the farm last year. We were selling boxes of food, whatever was ready, and harvesting while they waited, so time was of the essence. Grab a handfull of salad with the left hand, swipe just above the soil with the Ooinel, and off to the washing station. For a small operation, it worked well. The big growers, CSAs, etc, use a commercial cutter sized to the width of their beds rhat has blades piwered by a cordless drill.

Mike the 881Y is one of my all time favorites. I think you need a matching 293Y Trapper as well! ;)

I like your Memorial Day sentiments, too.
Bittersweet day in my family.

Nice! I haven't been fishing in a long while, but my favorite thing to catch is panfish. You have to be an ichthyologist to follow the laws on bass fishing around here and they don't taste as good anyway.

Very impressive work, you're very talented. It's always nice to see old-world artwork carried on.

Nice Team, Dean!!

Thanks, Charlie. The Ancient Barlows are very special to me. :)

Glad to hear it Dean, thank you for the kind words buddy :)

I wanted something in ss made by gec and I’ve been waiting a long time...
The new 89 slicing and dicing garlic and onions for an upcoming lentil soup. It’s closing clap, not snap... is unique. Take that 🍎 🍊 fruits!!

Have a great rest of the day, and a great Memorial weekend to my neighbours!!

Rubythroat Rubythroat ... Burgundy PLOW arrived today, ahead of schedule :)
There MAY be a hint of Burgundy in there LOL. It will darken with carry and use and will be interesting to see what develops
Fit and finish is better than my Bocote PLOW in that the covers fit the liners better on this Micarta
The Micarta texture feels good in the hand and yields a slightly better grip than the Bocote
I'm very happy with it :)

Quick pic taken from the mailbox to the house ...

Gorgeous picture!

Haha! Let me know if you want me to fix that up for ya. :)

I'm carrying a couple of well-worn pearls today.

Ha! Hey- somebody’s got to give those worn blades some love, right? I like the awl shape, for in case my belt is too big ;) and not planning on speying anything!

You know, if that old bone gets worn much smoother, it might make a good scrimshaw pallette for a certain friend ‘o mine!
