What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Happy Friday to all! The pizza dough has been rising since last night, ready to hit the grill tonight. Starting the Friday night tradition of making our own pizzas with the kids. I hope everyone has a good one!

Great pair of knives, and your family tradition sounds like a lot of fun! 🍕👍

Beautiful and practical pairing, Dylan. 🤠

Thank you, John!

Absolutely love the ebony, a perfect pair in my eyes!😎👍

But nothing wrong with that pair either!😀👌

Much appreciated, Dennis. That is a wonderful Canoe you are sporting, it has some nice Stag on it.

Thank you very much Dylan, those two oldies are superb, and your new FB is a stunner, great lines  :)

Thank you, Jack. Excellent carry choices, as usual. I like that pin you have, it reminds me of one that I have on my Alpine hat - I call it my "Black Phillip" pin (movie reference).

Still carrying the little fixed today, it goes nicely with a Lambsfoot.

Gorgeous Clip/Pan Jack. 🤠
Thanks pard!
It's off to town again today - this time for a niece's graduation from high school. They're only allowing two people into the graduation ceremony on the football field but they are closing down the main street in town so the graduating seniors can parade down main street. Our town is small enough that they can close down main street - about a mile long. And then our family is headed to the Brass Rail for a late lunch. Then I'll be pooped and come back home for a nap. I'll be carrying my new Schrade Trapper in it's sheath throughout this whole adventure.

That is one fine bone-handled Trapper. OH

Wow, that’s a looker! 😎👍Is that blade coated?

Thank you; yes, it came with the coating which makes the opening very smooth.

Sweet - smooth white bone?

Thank you; yes it is smooth white bone.

Peanut of the Week is a Remington with interesting wood (that I forgot to post for Wooden Wednesday :():

Lambsfoot of the Week is a Chinese Schrade 19OT that I call Lambshark. It's not sold as a lambsfoot, but I think that's what the blade shape is:

Your Remington peanut is gorgeous, Gary!:thumbsup:

Thanks for the supportive comments, Dean!
Almost EVERY pattern tempts me, but I can resist the temptation more easily for some than for others!

Great photo of a beautiful teardrop, Dean!

Thank you, Gary. :)

Just a quick update and a mini review on my small spearpoint wirejack. First of all I'm very prejudiced in favor of the wirejacks. It's a great design. As I've said before I use my pocket knives for food a lot. So this one at 3 3/16" closed is a bit smaller than I usually carry or what I think is practical for food. However, it still works and if it gets dirty you can run it under water to clean it up with no worry of anything getting into the blade well to ruin the knife. The smaller size is good in public and .makes for an easy pocket carry.. For those that scrambled to buy a GEC and paid too much for a bottle opener, here ya go. It's definitely not pocket jewelry, but it does the job, as evidenced by it being included in the boy and girl scouts chow kits. Remember, be prepared. One more thing. If you're a good sharpener. This steel is easy to maintain and gets very sharp.20210604_172813~2-01~2.jpeg

Congratulations to your niece. Major accomplishment. Great looking knife

First pocket slip I’ve ever bought came in today. 😄 It’ll keep this fine S&M trapper from getting more dings than it already has.

Horween horsefront leather. Love the way it looks already, and should be even better when broken in.
