What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

I love all of my little "sweethearts", but there is only ONE, i love MOST...

Very nice Old Boy :) I'm liking all these Carl Schlieper's you're showing us lately

Jack

Thank's, Jack, i have a few more of them and will show the rest during the next weeks.

Real old-time knives, 100% handmade in Solingen and "heavy metal" like models of the early 1950th, not the perfect quality like the modern GECs, but they have a special "personality", i like so much.

I'm sure I won't be the only one looking forward to seeing them. How about putting them all together in their own thread sometime? Maybe some of the other posters have them, would be great to see

Jack, i have a few more of them, not all... but the idea is not that bad.

Let me show them inside this thread one after the other (have to shoot same photos first) ... and then i will post them all together, OK?

Cool photo, Robert. Sleep well, sir

Old Boy, Now that is one super cool photo, really nice touch getting the wedding ring reflection in the shot!

I too cannot wait to see more Carl Schliepers; the price is commanding every time I seen one.

That sounds great. Look forward to it :)

I'm really liking this 72, it makes me smile every time I use it :)

That 72 is a beauty! I just dropped my fairly new stonewashed blue bone 72 on the pavement, it now it is scuffed up on one bolster, has a micro chip near the end of the handle, and it has a micro hairline crack in the bone near one of the bolsters. I felt crushed when it happened. Now, I don't know weather to sell it at a big discount because of my OCD nature, or if I should just keep it and look at the flaws as character. I think I'm going to go with the latter because it is such a beautiful piece of knife

Thanks Jack

If it's any consolation Burnside I've managed to smooth out some pretty big dings on my GEC bolsters with some 600-1200 grit wet and dry followed by a polish on the strop. One big advantage of the way GEC finish their bolsters and satisfying once done.

My wife took Cleo skiing and I took Conner on a long walk in the snow( he is not much for running anymore, but can still backpack 15 miles in a day, for many days). I have these two on me today: Mike Craddock personnel carry in hand forged and differentially hardened 1095 with Ironwood handle and a GEC #25 in Genuine Stag.

Now time for an Harvest Moon Imperial IPA, made in the little town of Belt, MT
