Now can you pull the knife back out?I have been trying out a new sheath. It is sheep skin lined and it really grips the knife. It holds the knife in place even upside-down.

Then I've seen your cattle. Small world!
I ought to do the same. I have some bushes on the front walk that are encroaching.
No fake pefectly uniform forced patina here.![]()

Pair of the day.
Good day to all
Those Beard & Owl slips are great, especially with that lining.I have been trying out a new sheath. It is sheep skin lined and it really grips the knife. It holds the knife in place even upside-down.

Thanks Jeff. I owe it to your generosity. Just missed out on another yesterday that had a nice full blade.I ought to do the same. I have some bushes on the front walk that are encroaching.
According to my very fallible weather app, we got .5” of rain. Just enough to soften the ground, green up the grass, and preclude having to drag hoses around. ‘Ol Staggy Hawk’s looking fine!
No fake pefectly uniform forced patina here.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that...
Very nice, CM!

I’m sticking by my previous assessment. You did a great job with this one.
Nice, can’t wait to see the finished product. I built some fly rods years ago, lot of fun. Thanks much. It's a 7' medium-heavy casting rod. Mostly gonna be using it for some ribbon tail worms I just designed and have been really enjoying or buzzbaits/soft plastic frogs for topwater when I'm going out early morning or night fishing.
I have that same knife J. Mattson, love that blue and the single clip is sweet. Yours has some nice character!
They are tough to spot.Went to Hobbit Beach, didn't see any hobbits.
I've thought about lining my slips with shearling, but I was afraid of what all the oils in the sheeps wool would do to the knife materials. You'll have to report back on how it's doing.
