What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Hope everyone's week got off to a good start :) I'm carrying my trusty Hartshead Barlow, and the 2018 Forum Knife, which selected me for my Random Tuesday carry ;) :D

Those stag covered beauties are two outstanding Tuesday totes, Jack; it looks like your Hartshead is about to bite the file!:cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

The only time I've examined one, I had bought it as a gift for another member, but if I remember correctly, it was quite a bit bigger. An interesting pattern though :) Glad you got to use the big Russell

Nice.
Maybe mine is for lambherds rather than shepherds.
It has a 3 & 3/8" blade. Small enough to carry in its slip along with a shorter knife for waving at the police.
Âchillepattada Âchillepattada may have gone out of his way to find me a smaller than usual one.

Alan, that knife started as an Opinel #6 (so about 3.75" closed, IIRC), but I wanted to reshape the handle into a "cigar" shape. Due to poor planning on my part, I discovered after the handle mod that the blade no longer fit the handle:

So to try to fix my mistake, I decided to turn the blade into a spearpoint by removing the steel colored in red:

I don't think I've ever measured the size of my "new" knife.
I thought that was blood marking your blade, at first. 😳
Nice job. :)👍
Good to see another "Austin Animal Attack" photo, Rachel!;)
It's beena while, hasn't it?
My new slip came in just in time for my birthday, so I toted my big Boker today. The slip is Horween Dublin leather with an Ulticlip for attachment. First rate quality! It was made by Grommets Leathercraft on Etsy.

Very nice!
Could be confirmation bias, but I seem to see more Bokers posted lately. It's inspired me to carry one, likely older than you are. Happy Birthday!

About the Cubs…
Almost ten years ago now a company trip flew us into Chicago and we end up having steak dinners in a mawvellous establishment a few minutes away from Wrigley. Naturally a game was on and we caught the 3rd inning later that night. They were hosting the Braves and were down a couple of runs. The fog begins to roll in as I head off for some souvenirs and more importantly, hot dogs as the beer now was really flowing in the stands. After having the best hot hogs I’ve ever had, the Cubs start hitting! and hitting!! They won the game as we continued to sip the suds. Our group couldn’t believe the players wouldn’t leave the field unless they went through all the fans waiting to meet them, and from both teams! Autographs and pics galore at first and home plates. I stood on the wall for pics as a younger umpire came at me, an older one stopped him as we continued with the pics. More to the tale later, as the rain moves in…
