What "Traditional Knife" are ya totin' today?

Thanks, Todd. It was fun fishing, just frustrating when you can see them and not catch them.

I checked out that SAK. I like that-Journey and Bigfoot 😃
I know, it’s so hokey, I just had to have it! 😂
Have a great day, Todd. :)
Thanks John, probably some rain today, but that just means “craft beer day” 😄🍺
For Tuesday...
Awesome pair of knives, and a beautiful photo! 😎👍
Two Bokers for Tuesday. Hope it's a good one!

Every time you post that Boker Club Gary, I get weaker and weaker! 😊👍
Having that GEC 92 whose model number matches your wedding year is really cool, Todd!:cool::thumbsup:
I've thought about birth year knives, but not anniversary until now. Amazingly, I have a GEC 85 and we were married in 1985 - what a pleasant surprise!:cool::thumbsup:🤪

Thanks Gary, I’m glad you realized you had one also, and that’s a great pattern! 😎👍

I guess for this:
"1. The cowboy must never shoot first, hit a smaller man, or take unfair advantage.

2. He must never go back on his word, or a trust confided in him.

3. He must always tell the truth.

4. He must be gentle with children, the elderly, and animals.

5. He must not advocate or possess racially or religiously intolerant ideas.

6. He must help people in distress.

7. He must be a good worker.

8. He must keep himself clean in thought, speech, action, and personal habits.

9. He must respect women, parents, and his nation's laws.

10. The Cowboy is a patriot."
(Gene Autry)

i'll carry this until Thursday or Friday next. :)

Sticking to the old homestead today. The doctor I was to have seen yesterday comes up to our town from Susanville, CA and had to cancel my appointment as the biggest forest fire in CA is burning in that area and burned almost all of Doyle, CA in the last couple days not far from Susanville. He wanted to stick close to home and I don't blame him. As I'm still on my Case Sod Buster Jr. kick, I'm carrying this SS one with red synthetic covers today.

Like the knife
Sorry for those displaced.

That's exactly what happened to me! I just didn't get to think on it very long. I saw it on the exchange, did a Google search which indicated they weren't very easy to get. So I went for it. Glad I did. Boker makes some nice knives.

I’m not familiar with that author, but with books on lighthouses, teenaged girls, shipwrecks, and cycling, she certainly has diverse interests. 😊
The HHB is looking good as ever Jack!
😎👍
I've only read The Lighthouse Stevensons and The Wreckers, but they presented history I only had a vague interest in, extremely well I thought. My girlfriend was reading one of Ms. Bathurst's other non-fiction books recently, and said it was also very good. They sometimes wheel her out as a talking head on BBC history programmes! :D Thanks buddy :)
We're harvesting cherry tomatoes this morning. I won't need a knife at all. [bite tongue.]

That sounds like a good way to spend a day Jer, and with a fine threesome there :) I like the looks of the Peasent Knife
I'm volunteering at a not-for-profit farm. My tomatoes are in a greenhouse.
This'll fix'em.

Might as well put the shoulder straps on my overalls to work.
Now you're being greedy! :D ;)
Have a great day, Jack. :)

For Tuesday...
Thanks John, you too my friend :) Looks like you've got some work in mind, great combination
Great photo of your superb SamDamLamb, Jack!:cool::thumbsup:

....

Heavenly horn, Jack! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Thanks for the kind words Gary :)
Very cool! :D
Loving the Old Timers.
Wearing their years well with sweet edges, and on Tolstoy no less, serious fella.
My wife tells me cilantro is coriander, Google confirm it as I doubted her. That's my fave herb, well second:) love it in soups and curries!

Herr Richartz about the garden cutting with tuetonic efficiency and a dash of cool.

Managed to learn a good method to re-centre blades lately. It was touching the mark side liner and it deeply irked me. This is kryptonite to my ocd!
Nice to see that Richartz Ed  :)

Alox Knife of the Week (that starts on Monday) is a Vic Pruner (thanks, Ken):

Thanks. That capuchin feels great in the pocket or hand, too. It weighs almost nothing.
I ended up using the Russell on some flying saucer shaped yellow squash. That isn't one I carry much without shoulder straps.

The only time I've examined one, I had bought it as a gift for another member, but if I remember correctly, it was quite a bit bigger. An interesting pattern though :) Glad you got to use the big Russell
